Despite the website being called furaffinity being scary, they're actually pretty good comics. I've thought about Children's week before like that. But, I guess, these kids are orphans because of violence like this and they're raised to hate their enemies on a murderous level. And they do get ice cream!

Yeah, it's fixed - I've got both the wolvar and oracle pets.

Not only can you get the other Northrend pet this year, you can also get a new pet from the capitol city quests and from the Shatt orphan quests as well. So, even if you kept up every year and thought you were free from doing Org (or SW) and Shatt this year, you have reason to go do them again. :P
