lag issues since patch?Follow

I've had some serious lag issues since the patch, that seem to be restricted to being just outside a cities gates (Org and Stormwind for example).
They are addon caused, as disabling all addons removed it. And I'm slowly working through them trying to narrow it down, but no luck yet. I apparently have 20 plus addons running, depending on the character.
I'm just curious if anyone else has had similar issues?

I've actually had an issue for several patches now that's addon related. It takes 30+ seconds to logout or exit WoW. After 4.1 when addons were disabled I logged out almost immediately and thought the problem fixed with the patch. When I enabled all my addons, the problem returned. I run 17 addons.

My other half (as in my fiancée, not my separate Two-Face personality) had huge amounts of lag in Stormwind after the patch. She could barely move or click things in some circumstances and disabling addons fixed it (and she only has two or three addons). She's also had trouble switching characters since the patch too. Whenever she logs off one character and begins to Enter World as another, she's booted from the server and has to log back in before going on the character. It happens pretty much every time she switches from one character to another.

I experienced this as well. The only addons I had loaded at the time were Droodfocus, Healbot, Quartz and Deadly Boss Mods, and updating each corrected the issue.

A guildy mentioned something about addons that parse logs causing such an issue, but I don't know for sure if that's it.

I'm quite certain it's an addon issue. At least it was for me. Everytime I go into a dungeon (even with just Healbot), I would lag like crazy the first pull. I'd have to task manager out of WoW and restart it (majority of the time, I'm lucky to still be in the group). Once I do that, I was fine.

Got tired of it eventually, so I had to go in and update ALL of my addons. Ever since, I've had no issue.

Yep, Blizzard added a little line with a /end or some crazy **** like that, which required addon writers who used the combat log in ANY way (even those which just displayed information out of it) to re-write.
Good rule of thumb is if there's a major patch, .2,.3,.4, etc., to disable until most of your addons are updated.
Currently I think Omen is the only lagging addon of mine, but I'm not sure if it's been updated and I just missed it.
