Well, here's how:

Frankly, I've never heard of GM Island, but this video is pretty amazing. I like watching videos of people finding cool stuff like this. If only I had the patience or the alliance characters to try this.

That's why you do it on a temporary/trial, "throw-away" account that does not share the same email/bnet/etc with your main account. lol.

Edit: Just watched the video, which was kinda cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is hotfixed or patched or something at some point.

That, and I wish more people would use Youtube or something; having it pausing on me every 5-6 seconds to load more was annoying, lol. Never had that problem with YT at all.

Looks like you can't "JUST" use a trial account. Have to have someone with the travel mammoth. Looks like it would be very complicated and possibly a good way to get banned?

People say getting to places warrants bans all the time. I can't even name the amount of times before cata I was underneath stormwind, org, on top of ironforge, underneath kara and tried like hell to find a way to get into dancing troll village.

I miss the being under the old org.

Yeah, I don't see getting under the world being ban worthy, unless you are botting of course. They probably do things like this in hopes people discover them. I know a lot of people that like to go under the world and observe things and I've never heard of any of them getting banned.

You'd think using terrain exploits just to look around would be pretty low on their priority list, with all the gold-selling, botting, inebriated trolls out there.

Still, it feels a little like skateboarding in the police dept. parking lot. No one really cares that much, but all you need to ***** up your day is one guy coming back from a patrol in a bad mood. Smiley: rolleyes

I never got the appeal of getting into glitched locations that aren't really supposed to exist. I once spent 30 minutes figuring out how to get on top of Org way back in Vanilla. It's tedious, and pointless. The area was mostly broken. I just fail to see why some people are so entertained they can do it for hours...

The WoW equivalent of the search for Atlantis.
I've spent a good amount of time going places I wasn't supposed to be in, and one of my most memorable experiences in WoW is connected to exactly that - A friend and I parachuted off the mountain next to Stormwind and landed right on top of the Auction house. I killed quite a bit of lowbies. Good times.
The video itself was really cool, but I have to say, that's the most complicated and confusing tutorial I've ever seen!

edit: typo;

Incidentally, there actually was an Atlantis in WoW. Quite possibly still there.

I visited it once, it was off the coast of Tanaris on the ocean floor. You couldn't get too close to the ground there, as the game has an auto-kill programed in that kills anyone below a certain depth. That's what kills people who fall in a bottomless pit, like under the world.

Figures someone named IDrownFish would know that ^^. On a more serious note, I did not know about that place! I do know of the Tanaris islands in the southernmost region, which is pretty much out of the map though.
By the way, for anyone who cares, here's a vid of the AH story :

Fun times. Ends funnily...well...sadly for me, but funnily for you!
There's also a video in there somewhere of the Tanaris islands.
P.S. I know I fail at video editing. And more importantly, I play WoW just fits so well, don't hate on it :> .
And no, I'm not plugging my channel, it's not like I expect to get more than 5 views ^^.
