If this gets you banned, I hate to see what they do to someone who hates WoW.

And he could have been spamming that message. The ban reason is listed as Spamming/trolling. For all we know, he was being a nuisance.

The "Spamming/Trolling" is a category, where it says "Ban Type", generic category type that a lot of things fall under.. Beneath that is specifically says,
"Permanently banned from the World of Warcraft forums for trolling".

Maybe the post spawned a giant fanboi vs hater war or something so he got pinned for trolling. Who knows, just find it funny.

My point is that he could have been trolling/spamming or both. Without knowing whether or not this post was in the context of a greater scheme of things, we can't really evaluate that. If he made 10 of those posts, for instance, and was posting the same thing in tons of other threads.

All we see is one isolated incident. Which might be the whole story, or it might be obscuring the truth of the matter. I'm inclined to think the latter, because it's a little too ridiculous.

Probably a habitual troll, I have my doubts this is the first time he/she has done this.

I can't see getting banned over posting something like that, UNLESS, he/she has made themselves clear to be an idiot/asshat/etc.

That, or the image is shopped. I noticed a bunch of little yellow specks far away from the letters, for example, that makes me a little suspicious.

I'd say one or the other.

Read to me like heaps of sarcasm with an extra topping of sarcasm. But then I'm a Brit, we're all cynical & see sarcasm everywhere :)

Edit - we're all cut from the same cloth, I am not that cynical Brit you may be thinking of.

looks like sarcasm to me. Especially near the end. He says he likes BC best, but then says Cata must be better even though he doesn't like it as much.

Wouldn't be surprised. I got a 6-day suspension for calling someone an idiot on the forums.

Edit: Before I get hit by the irony bat, can someone tell me if it's 'on a forum' or 'in a forum'? I want to say 'in a forum' since it's a place (albeit virtual), but 'on a forum' seems more used, probably because people pull it from 'on a website'.

Harassment occurs when a Forums user targets another individual to cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention, or other personal discomfort.

Smiley: lol

If I create a thread containing personal opinions and someone replies to it, does that constitute as unwanted attention? What if someone points out obvious flaws in my string of thoughts? Does that constitute as embarrassment?

Would it be personal discomfort if someone hits on me and I don't want it? If so, brb, gotta delete some posts.

I'm brazilian and I saw a lot of sarcasm on it too. Maybe that's because I can see what they are doing to the druid comunity...

Wow, thought it was only me. They apparently really don't like the word idiot. They also don't like the word ignorant, I suspect the second is because they are idiots who can't be bothered to look up the word ignorant.

To the OP, LOL even the blues at WoW hate it.
