That's my initial thought. Not all of these changes were nerfs.

I agree - some are not nerfs.

Some are fixes - The Corbius (First boss Stonecore) encounter is just Buggy. And having the trash mobs make the same visual effect as the boss is not really fair. (First, I'm supposed to be running at the trash. Second, the visual effect kills your frame rates. *This was always an issue with my guild and "The Dance" there were some very good raiders who just had lag issues and couldn't make it through that fight due to "technicals" related to connection speed - That's just lame.)

But many were nerfs.

Not to derail too much, but I never understood how (short of a lag spike) people could have so much difficulty there, even with a bad connection. My old rig did 4 FPS and had 300-500ms of latency on that fight, and I didn't have a problem doing it. Even when there were 4 of us alive and the darn fight took 15 minutes. It just seemed like a timing issue, you ran into the goo knowing it wasn't really there.

Then again in my guild the same people who failed the dance were also the ones who couldn't get on the snow piles on Hodir, or find the portals on Val. Dreamwalker.

*sigh* Smiley: frown

/end nostalgic rant

The fight is sometimes bugged to a degree where you might as well just flip a coin.

I've seen Corborus exit the ground outside his dust cloud and I've seen people a good 5 yards away from the dust cloud get clipped. And the particles in that animation will really kill a slower computer if running with high settings.

Note: Trying to change your video settings during the submerge period is not advisable.

Hmmmmm. I've run that place a good 10-15 times in heroic mode and I can't say I've been hit by him more than once or twice. Once I thought I was out, and I got hit, so after that I've simply ran out wider every time, just to be on the safe side. I play with most setting pretty high too (Hoooooray for a new rig). It does help that, as a tank, I am trying to control all the adds all the time and thus I am moving most of the time. At least it helps me since I don't have to start running, at most I need to change direction.

I don't know, I just feel nerfs are not really necessary any more. DPSers are now pushing 10k+ avg in pugs and myself I contribute to around 6k-7k too. Mobs die fast, bosses should run scared anyhow. Whatever, this will just shorten run times I guess, which will speed up the repping up process.

I doubt we're getting much further in this bugged/not bugged discussion.

While I'm firmly in the "Bugged" Camp....

The comments for which I'm quoted are actually related more the the change in Visual Effect. The visual effect cause some (Maybe many) people's computers to slow down.

I missed the change to the Wind Effect. That's good. Frankly it was tough to see.

My real beef with heroics is not the difficult of them. It`s the time it takes to complete one.
Seriouslly, 1 and half hour in a heroic that me and hole group overgear it, without wipes and without CCs whatsoever? Just too much. Make it half hour without CC and wipes, 1 hour with CC and 1 or 2 wipes. Should be enough.

I'm bored.

My Shaman is overgeared for regular dungeons, but I dare not set foot in a heroic with him as the healer, even if it means a shorter queue, so here I am, doing reputation dailies while waiting in the DPS queue.

Healing just feels too weak. Nerves can't handle a 2.5-second heal that crits for 10k when the tank drops in spikes of 20k. And that's in non-heroics.

I am also, I am done with the 3 regular dungeons and I look at the screen and don't want to log. It’s time to chase miss around and polishing the Harleys.

You should have seen that recently dinged 82 DK I was healing in stonecore the other night. Those little mobs that do that flurry thing smooshed him flat. Smiley: rolleyes

Thank goodness for glyphed b-rez. Smiley: lol
