You're right about the Dell though, it'd be a waste of the keyboard.

Edit: also as far as the illumination goes, I'll trade the fancy lights for 2 USB ports and $31 any day.

You're an Apple fanboi, and that's fine, I won't be drawn into a debate about which PC has the bigger *****. My Dell plays WoW at high settings at 60+ FPS. As for the 2 extra USB ports, I already have a bunch so what would I need 2 more for?

On the contrary, I think Apple's gear is horribly overpriced and if it wasn't part of my school books I never would have gotten a Macbook, I just dislike Dell.

Let's be honest, the Apple keyboard is overpriced but the logitech keyboard is just ridiculous. I simply don't see how you could argue for the $80 logitech keyboard over the $49 apple keyboard because the logitech one might be a bit thinner and has pretty lights. To me it's like arguing for an Apple mouse over a basic logitech mouse (ok, that's actually even worse. I still can't figure out why Apple keeps hanging on to those utterly moronic mice. Maybe it's because so many apple users use tablets.)

Yeah Aeth isn't the fanboy, Theo is. Smiley: nod

On a side note, rather small, but I tend to like the 3 separate sections of F-keys (the gaps between the sets). It helps me to distinguish easily between F4 and F5, but that's just me.

Since 1988 (when I was five). Smiley: thumbsup

It's also amazing to me that while there are Apple fanboys around, there are far more MS nerds that are vehemently anti-Apple in their bias, no matter how good an Apple product is (see: anyone buying and using a Zune).

Never said they weren't, I just happen to like the way it looks. This is the keyboard we use at work, I like it and will most likely pick one up for myself someday soon.

I'm not really a fan over one or the other. I have a Windows PC, I also have an iPod.

YEAH BRO, iPODS ARE TERRIBLE, WHICH IS WHY THEY HAVE OVER 73% OF THE MP3 PLAYER MARKET SHARE, THEY MUST BE AWFUL.

Not necessarily a good argument Theo, I mean Trust probably has a large market share as far as mice go but their products are mostly worthless.
That said, with all the beatings my iPod has survived it has been more than worth the money I've spent on it.

Not an equivalent analogy there. Cheap mice aren't pricey MP3 players. MP3 players are also more of a luxury item, rather than a necessity as mice generally are if you own a computer.

A Buick Regal CSX starts at $29,000.
A Hyundai Sonata Turbo starts at $24,000.
Both have equal options and equipment at those starting prices.
The Hyundai gets better MPG, goes faster through the 1/4, and brakes in 10 feet less from 60 MPH.
The Regal sold 3x as many cars as the Hyundai this quarter.

Idiots will buy what their friends or family have, and there's a LOT of idiots.

ALTERNATIVELY:
HP and Newegg both sell PCs. I can almost bet on the fact that there were more HPs sold this year than custom PCs built, despite the fact that the HP is three+ times the cost for the same performance.

ALTERNATIVELY:
Sheeple.

My Sansa has survived a dip in a lake, a motorcycle accident, and so many drops and falls that I can't even begin to count them. It is now 16GB, has simple touch controls, and cost me $60 with a 2" screen. It's a Lithium Ion battery that charges in around 10 minutes from full drain, off a USB 2.0 cable.
Counting the 16GB miniSD card, the total cost of this thing was $100. You can barely get a Shuffle with no screen for that cost.
Also, the built in amplifier puts out rich, hearty sound, something neither the Zune or the iPod can claim honestly.

Apple keyboard with numpad.
Not because it's great for gaming or anything, purely because it's small and typing feels so much better on this than on a regular keyboard.

Also in before ZOMGWTF apple sucks sh*tstorm by people who are as stupid as the apple fanboys.

I'm thinking of building my own PC next time around...currently using a three year old iMac. I hadn't even thought about using the Mac keyboard with the new computer, but I might have to do that.

Decisions you should make when you're 5:
Sports teams (Just pick by the colors, by the time you're old enough to appreciate the sport, the 'good' teams will no longer be good)
Favorite Foods
Favorite Colors

Decisions you should not make when you're 5:
Religious path
Profession
Tech brands

Ipods are awesome, but I don't use mine anymore. I've got a smart phone with twice the storage space on it, so I just put all my music on it and use it as my MP3 player. I'll admit the software isn't as good, so organizing playlists is kind of a pain, but it's much more convenient.

Okay, I think I'm probably going to end up getting a G15. Thanks everyone for your recommendations. Hopefully I can still fine one for cheap when I actually get around to buying one. We just spent $100 on a blu-ray player as a substitute until we can get our PS3 either fixed or replaced.

It was a post made in jest, holy sh*t.

I know it's worthless to discuss this any further with you because as much as you think I blindly buy Apple products, I know you blindly hate them.

Edit: also, your car comparison is awful.

Favorite foods? Really? At 5?

I never even heard of Thai food until I was about 14.

The G15 will serve you well... just got a new one to replace my old one...I have sticky fingers it seems and the keyboard was warped from me cleaning it. I love logitech and will blindly buy their products like the rest of the sheeple.

Oh and my Apple Ipod touch says it will kick your Sansa's *** any day so bring it Jay :)

Edit: Wanted to add a Thai food comment.

Thai food....yummmmmmmmm...didn't hear about it until I was 27...I know I know I was missing out but the pull towards Mcdonald's chicken nuggets had me in it's grips for a loooooooong time.

Don't underestimate people with too much money.

I like how the advertisement is all "Has a USB 2.0 hub - oh, yeah, and 113 OLED screens".

113 LED screens is nice...I guess, but I would be sad deep down that I didn't have more.
