REALM TRANSFERFollow

#1 Dec 28 2010 at 2:51 PM Rating: Decent
Guys, I got WoW for Christmas and am already a lvl 10 paladin. However, as I have only been playing in 1 realm and do not want to have to start over in a new realm at this point, I was wondering if it is possible to transfer my character (Bluesbrother) from one realm to another. Please respond ASAP. Also add me to friends and send me a message if you have so I can add you.

You can transfer to another realm for $25 I believe, but why? Even 1-40 is a minor investment of time, 1-10 is a joke to bother paying $25 for!

You're allowed 10 characters per realm by the way, and 50? characters account wide, you don't have to delete the level 10 paladin on the current server to make another one on a new location

Exactly. If you were level 80, we might be having a different discussion. At level 10, just make another where you want it. You may even want to try a different race or class.

I don't even know if you're allowed to transfer such a low level character, honestly.

I think level 10 is the minimum for the paid services.

Leveling from 1 to 10 seemed to take a while when I first started and was still learning the game mechanics, but once you've played the game for a while, leveling a new character is quick and easy. The starting area quests are pretty much the same for all races and classes. They're geared towards teaching you the basic game mechanics and giving you an introduction to your class abilities. I don't think it's worth spending money to transfer a level 10 character; just start fresh on whatever realm that you follow your friends to. Doing 1-10 again will go faster than the first time.

Dude, cut it out with the caps lock on the titles. And leveling to 10 isn't a problem, just reroll another guy.

The only reason I can see behind paying 25 big ones is to move a character you have strong emotional attachment (raided back in the day and have things like t3 sitting in the bank still) or a max level character. Possibly a twink character but if this is your first character you will have none of those. Just remake the character on a new server. It can be an exact clone up to the name, which might already be taken.

Edit

I might want to add that WoW is not like a lot of mmo's out there. Leveling is really easy to pull off once you understand a class and how things go along. Heck during WotLK I had somewhere around 14 80's. Had to delete some to make room to level more. I was a true altaholic. Now I am limiting myself down to four characters and one of them is only high enough to mine and do jewel crafting. Once I get my rogue up there she will probably be my alchemist and scribe.

I guess the point I am trying to get to is that the game encourages you to roll several characters and play on multiple servers if you wish. Don't feel afraid to try something new, you might like it more. :P
