like whenever i leave a random early it never shows me how long i have left on my cooldown

i was gonna report this as a bug on the battle.net WoW forums but i dont really see any point posting anything on those forums anymore because my topic gets buried under 10 pages 5 seconds after i post.im just wondering where exactly do you see how much longer you have left on your dungeon cooldown

my guess is that it's getting consolidated into the icon that holds all the long duration buffs, mouse-over and check that.

If you are asking about the estimated queue time - It's found near your mini-map. The mini map should have a small green eye on it. Mouse-over it. It will tell you the time.

Generally speaking Tanks will Queue up in <30 seconds. Healers are in the range of 5-20 minutes. DPS are generally 25-45 Minutes.

If you are asking about the timer associated with quiting an instance...

You get a debuff for deserting first - it's an actual Debuff and is generally 30 minutes.

You also get a lock out period. I believe it's a 30 minute timer that starts when you enter the instance. So if you proceed for 20 minutes, your 'hidden' timer will have 10 minutes left on it. You can view this by pressing "I" and looking at how long it will be before you can Queue up for another Random.

EDIT: Wrong key listed as "Instance" Default keybinding

For heroics my healer has been getting instant queues. With how hard it is to heal anything but a solid group, a lot of healers aren't queuing.

Well looking at the "I" screen (The LFD screen) will only show a timer if:

1. You previously used the /Random LFD tool. Using the looking for specific dungeon thing - won't trigger the /Random Cooldown

2. You have the join random CD still attached to you. So, for example - I'm pretty sure the /Random timer is 30 minutes. If you attempt to join another group in <30 minutes, you'll see a timer (It's very large). If however, you burn 30 minutes away wiping or rez'ing or whatever... you have already passed the timer CD. I *Think* (Read: Not certain) that the timer STARTs when you enter the group.

I've been getting the same as well on my healer. Tank is still instant as well. I'm waiting to see if somehow the tank queue gets longer than the healing one.

I'll PuG up to two random people at most with my tank, any more and he wont do heroics. I'll likely do that same with my healer. I think most tanks and healers are feeling the same as I am, that it is just not worth the aggravation of dealing with four random people.

Again - I think you need to look at it as two seperate issues.

1. The deserter DeBuff is a true Debuff. It appears on your debuff bar (Default is just under your buff bar in the upper RIGHT). It's actually a debuff. Just like any player induced or mob induced debuff (Though you can not remove it.) It is cast on you for leaving a group under certain conditions. I don't know all of them, but to keep it short - if you bail on a group - you'll probably get it. If you can not see this debuff - you likely are using some kind of raid frames or addon that is not showing it properly. That's really your problem - not a bug.

2. The other issue is the timer associated with using the /LFD (Random) tool. I don't know what the logic behind the timer is, but Blizzard puts a 30minute "Hidden" debuff on you for joining a group. Again - i'm not certain why they do it or exactly how it applies. However, upon entering the instance you get it. You can not use the /random tool again for 30 minutes.

2a. If you leave the group and don't get the debuff from #1 (Deserter debuff) you may still have the "Hidden Debuff" from #2. To see if this is the case, hit "I" (Which is the default key for pulling up the /LFD tool.) If you see a large timer counting down - that's how long you must wait to get into another LFD.

How this applied to me recently. I'm the tank in a /random. Mage, Mage, Healer are in a guild. So they are pugging me and a DK DPS. One of the mages is the lead - we are in Regular Stonecore. The lead mage insists on pulling. He also is opening up (AB) on the targets as the walk toward me. After a few pulls we wipe. I ask him not to do certain things (Mostly the common sense stuff tanks are asking for these days) and he essentially says no. So, still being dead, I left the group. (I know as a tank - having burned about 20 minutes, I have <10 minutes to wait - their loss...) I check myself. No deserter debuff (I guess you don't get it if you are dead) and a 7m 30s wait for the "Hidden" timer to run its course. I was in Vortex in about 7m32seconds....
