There are so many cool quests ... So many different ways to get XP ... So many new and cool zones to explore. I haven't even done half of the zones/quests for my levels because I get so much XP from instances, BGs and herbalism.

I think this expansion is going to be keeping me busy and entertained for many months to come.

I was having a blast with the new quests and feel of things after the sundering but I'll warn you that HFP and the rest of Outlands is still as bleh as ever. It's much faster than it was like 2 years ago when I first went through but bleh is still bleh so you may want to keep on with the instances, BGs, and herbalism.

I'm feeling a little burnt out in some ways, but I've also been playing a lot the last two weeks. I've been waiting for a few of the other people in my raid group to get heroic ready (and been helping them run regulars to do so) and currently sitting in all blue gear, mostly a mix of 333's and 346's with my chest a 325 blue. I've definitely been enjoying farming herbs and selling 5 stacks for anywhere from 30 to 75g a piece. I tried making some flasks and transmutes, but there's not much demand and a lot of supply for those thus far so it isn't really worth it. Transmuting volatiles to sell though, that's some good profit there. I've made about 17k thus far (with 5k of that tied up in a azure whelpling I'm trying to resell) and very stoked to make more in the coming weeks while people are still trying to hit 85 and level their professions. If I can't be rich irl, it's at least comforting to be so in WoW. I know 17k isn't that much... but it is to me, and I'm happy just knowing that I can buy anything I need and still have plenty of gold leftover.

Agreed. Outland is the lowest point in this game right now. The old world was beefed up, Northrend is much newer and reflects some of the newer philosophy... but Outland is still deserted and very slow, as well as not that interesting.

I'm not quite burnt out, but I can see myself unsubbing within a month or two.
I got to 85 in just over a week, and I've done all of the zones except the underwater one.
I haven't done all of the dungeons on normal yet, 0 on heroic.
So I will probably finish the sea zone, run all of the dungeons, then see where my guild is with raiding, and decide if I want to play another 10-12 months of running the same 7 heroics over and over and over to build points for one bit of gear, whilst running the same 4 raids over and over and over and over, then running the (2? 3? probably not 4) new raids.
I could roll an alt, I guess, but I've already done the Worgen starting zone, Goblins don't appeal to me at all, and I know if I DO roll an alt, it will get abandoned the minute it hits 58/60 (depending on if they updated anything post 58, or just hope you will PLEASE visit all the lonely npcs and mobs in Outlands)
So, yeah, I'm not burnt out just yet, as I have new content still to do, but I know it won't be long.

Ah heck you were in beta you been playing cata for more then 2 weeks!

Me, I'm pacing myself as much as I can I'm in no rush to get my 80's to 85
actually I really want to go start a new alt and redo 1-60 again, I enjoyed it that much!

I think a lot of people get burnt out from trying to accomplish everything as fast as possible. Relax, enjoy the game and play at your own pace.

Like some others, I'm facing the exact opposite. I'm completely overwhelmed. I've dinged 85 and got my Mining, Herbalism and Cooking maxxed, but that's pretty much all I've 'accomplished' so far? I'm still doing heroics for points to gear up, I haven't gotten a chance to do a lot of Archaeology yet, I need to write up the new priest guide, I want to quest through the Twilight Highlands (I haven't done any quests there yet, finished the other four new zones), and I want to level my Goblin alt. Not to mention raiding.

And all that is even apart from other games I'm trying to play on the side, like Bloodline Champions. Oh, and let's not forget it's christmas and that I need to go buy presents and have family dinners.

Not even close to burning out, I've been taking my time, reading quest text, messing with professions etc.. I want to enjoy it on my first play through, there is plenty of time to rush it with alts and it never feels the same the second time.

All I've really done so far is raise Archaeology to 202 and the 2 Cata starter zones and I'm 3 bars into 84!

It feels like I have far too much I want to do and not enough time to do it, I'm averaging about 1-2 hours a day at most and still enjoying it all so far.

I can't be bored now. Finally dinged 85 on my dk and I've got pvp gear to get and people to slay.

My one goal for this entire expansion is to finally grind out to "of the Horde" title.

Yeah I'm having a similar feeling. Leveling my hunter again was fun. Then I made thousands of gold mining, maxed engineering; still fun.. Ran all the regulars, then did some heroics :( 30-40 min queues, terribad players with wipes galore. My guild always seem to run when I'm not around to play. I have a weird schedule so the allure to WoW for me has always been that I can pug any time of the day. With the new guild perks all these guys just run with their guilds however and on top of that it seems all the tanks decided to level their DPS alts/mains first leaving us with none to pug with in the first place. It just doesn't feel as casual as it did during WotLK. I like the new difficulty level, I really do. The problem is that most casual players aren't getting the hang of it quickly enough, leaving me waiting around for a decent group that matches my skill level :/

I hit the burnout point a lil before the expac, but kept going because the people I raid with are so much fun. Then the quest grind came and ugggggg, I just really didn't want to do it. I was one of the last to level (still haven't finished lvling my alts), and it's been a rollercoaster ever since. I'll get all into it one day and not even log in the next. I hope to get my spark back when we start killing more bosses, but right now, I'm kind of happy when we don't have the attendance to beat our heads against a raid boss and split off into 4 heroic groups instead. We'll see how it goes.

The content is great. Like 10x better than WotLK.

My biggest beef is that healing is slow, plodding, and from a TBC healer who wasn't overly fond of WotLK healing I feel we have just jumped to a new flavour that is not enjoyable. Which sucks, because I hate Retribution and I don't want to reset a new main after playing Bode since Kara.

I thought Paladins had three specs? Are you allergic to getting hit in the face or something?

Welcome to the club, Blizz has been tooling with classes for a while...nerf, buff, reset points, glyphs etc...IMO, they broke more classes than before and they all feel the same now. Not to mention , there is no f#king way I am going to grind Heroics, not worth my time.

Bode is way too pretty for that type of work.

The last time I tanked was 3 drake Sartharion, while it was current. I enchanted and gemmed my set in 30 min and tanked for the first time since leveling Bode in 2006. I crushed tanking so hard that I felt that continuing to do it after absolutely destroying and mastering it would be like the Canadian Hockey team scoring 20 goals against some former Soviet Bloc country. Rude and unsportsmanlike.

I leveled Ret (obviously) and I have a mostly 346 offset on him. 2 button spam, 2 buttons pushed when something procs. I rather level my enhance/resto shaman, cause dang Enh dps is off the cob.

Only Bodh would come up with a response that basically sums up as, "I tried it once, but I was so good, it wouldn't be fair to others for me to continue."

You're holding up Sarth as an example of tanking skill? I mean, all of Wrath was pretty easy to tank (their work being done before the fight to improve their gear, and then you just faceroll during it) but S3D is a poster child for tanks having the easiest job in a fight. As with all classes, things have changed a bit in Cata, and between actually having cooldowns on your abilities and needing to time your panic buttons to best assist stretched-thin healers tanking is fun again. Heart attack-inducing before you learn to adjust, but fun.

On the note of tanking, we did the first two BWD bosses on Thursday. It's odd to go from Magmaw, a heavy gearcheck (adds, AoEs, random fireballs and massive tank damage) to the Tron Council, a large skillcheck of four golems with unique abilities that are trivial if handles well but can turn ugly quickly.

This is kinda how I feel. I am to the point that running regular dungeons gives very little reward (70jp a day). I dread even trying heroics because every random group I get involves about 3 hours of hell trying to get through them, if we get through it at all. The last one I got to finish was H SFK. Before it was all said and done we had a new tank, 2 new dps and about 8 wipes. The Healer and myself was the only 2 original party members left when we got to the end. Last night tried a random got stonecore (dungeon allready in progress knew I was doomed). Was at the 2nd boss. 5 wipes later tank was still beign 1 shotted by the shatter attack as was a dps warrior. I dont think the boss ever got down more than about 20% of his HP.

Only thing I have to do at this point is the wildhammer daily quests and tol barad daily quests. Being doing a little bit of PVP, at least feel like I am accomplishing something there.

I know they want to make this "Challenging content" to keep people from getting burnt out but It is having the opposite effect on casual players. People with limited time to play every day don't want to have to spend all evening trying to run a random heroic dungeon. I never got bored with WOTLK content until about 3 months before Cata came out and honestly only reason I was bored then was I wasn't burning JP anymore on gear I was hording on my lvl 80's.
