Which would be faster?Follow

Hello. Started playing WoW again with the release of Cataclysm, and I'm trying to get one of my friends to play. However, if he DOES play, all he wants to do is get to 55 and make a deathknight because "they look cool." Haha.

So, what I'm wondering is what is the fastest way to level him up to at least 55? Would doing refer-a-friend be quicker than say, me going on my level 81 shaman and running him through dungeons?

I would say refer-a-friend would be faster. And you Also get a cool two seated rocket you and you friend can ride on.

Even if leveling him through dungeons on your shaman was faster, recruit-a-friend's benefits would still far outweigh those of just boosting him. The recruiter gets a free month, the rocket which was mentioned earlier, free levels to use on alts, you can summon each other and whatnot. It's flippin' asum!

Not to mention standing around while someone runs you through dungeons is the single most boring way to play the game, and the most likely way to turn your friend off from it.

I am pretty sure he would be tying the accounts through RAF even if he was using the dungeon leveling method...

But I agree getting him to level another class with you without the boosting is a better idea. There is a reason they don't want first time players starting a DK right away. Let him learn the game :)

Thanks for all the answers guys. I didn't know about that rocket, once I showed my friend a video of it he wants it really badly haha.

We've decided to do the RaF, him leveling a shaman and I'll be leveling a paladin. I've always wanted a pally anyways :p.
Once again, thanks for the answers guys. Made the decision way easier to make. :)

RAF it up and then run dungeons together once you are both 15. See if he can heal, and maybe you tank..and getting groups will be almost instant. Then all you have to do is watch the levels fly by.

He decided to make a mage and I made a hunter. We are level 13 rightnow, and we started leveling in the blood elf zone. However, we already outleveled the area we are in and I was Planning on taking him tarren mill to level up. I know lots of zones have changed, but would that area be a good place for us to go? I'm just trying to think of a fast and efficient way for us to level up quickly.

Newish feature in game, when you don't know where to go for your level go to your local city, see the hero-board (whatever it is actually called) gives you a quest sending you to the appropriate spot to continue levelling. Everytime you run out of quests easily found in an area consider returning to the city to see the board and see where they send you next.
