I shouldn't have to stoop as low as to throw my lot in with them just to get some perks.

Gross exaggeration, much? I think you're actually taking the o-boards and trade/barrens chat as a cross-section of the WoW player-base. Unfortunately, cross-server BGs and LFD severely hampered everyone's ability to meet people on their own server. If you put as much effort into looking for a guild as you do complaining about being in a small guild, you might actually find a casual guild you like. Yeah, you'll lose the convenience of being able to hit up your guild bank for your own stash of shared crafting mats, but it doesn't take that long to hop onto an alt, mail yourself whatever you need, and then hop back.

4). My Playstyle has nothing to do with this. All people, raiders, casuals, PvPers alike should have a chance at getting guild levels. Why do you think Blizz implemented 4 different ways to gain guild XP in the first place? They wanted people from all walks of WoW-Life to gain Guild XP, whether you are the solo quester, the hardcore raider, or the hardcore PvPer or anything in-between. The problem is, they nerfed the guild XP gained from quests a little too much IMO.

Actually, it does. Guild exp comes from: leveling a character (quests), daily quests, leveling a profession(?), 80%+ Guild PvE runs, 80%+ Guild BGs, and guild arena teams. I'm noticing a trend here... it seems to involve guild experience coming from doing things as a guild. Only solo guild exp gains were nerfed, so maybe they're encouraging guilds to do things as a guild?

o Guild experience caps were being hit faster than expected. As a result, guild experience gained through questing has been reduced.

And as for GL 23's bonus to mining/herbing/skinning/disenchanting... you do realize that you could spend your time gathering instead of grinding dailies past the rep cap and come out WAY ahead in ore/herbs/skins, right? The disenchanting bonus is a little different, but that's far from reason enough to get your panties in a wad.

Because 2 players is not a Guild, simple.

You've got some reference material to back that up? I looked up the word in a dictionary and the definition of 'guild' seems to be:

Quote:
an organization of persons with related interests, goals, etc., esp. one formed for mutual aid or protection

Doesn't mention anything about minimum member requirements.

I’m going to try to explain this like you are 6 years old, ready?

Guild message of the day: Tony, get the garbage out!!!!!

Guild chat: Do you mind getting me a coke please
Guild chat: Tony, I’m sitting next to you, quit the chat thing!
Guild chat: But, we never use it!
Guild chat: Because we are only 2 dumb ***!
Guild chat: should we recruit more?
Guild chat: I don’t want more; I don’t want to deal with REAL guild stuff
Guild chat: So why we have a guild?
Guild chat: WE need a bigger bank AND don’t you want 10% mount speed increase?

Talking about 2 player’s guild that needs a guild bank to stack snowballs wanting to have the same perks as a 100 players raiding guild.

Now that's a "sigable" post.

Assuming Blizzard decides they like this guild leveling thing I see them making leveling easier over the next couple of years. It's inevitable they'll want to expand and grow the system if it's successful. Plus they may eventually have to do something if people start complaining that it's hard to start a new guild because no one wants to join one without all the perks. Imagine next expansion they raise the guild level cap to 30 and make it easier to get the first 20ish levels. *shrugs*

If it helps, sometimes the best part about this game is that very little about it is permanent.

I would imagine that they want there to be a difference between how fast a guild of 10 people and how fast a guild of 25 people get to level 25. I'd also imagine that as protein pointed out, it won't stay at this rate forever.

The problem is, they nerfed the guild XP gained from quests a little too much IMO.

5). I want rewarded for my effort. I'm not asking for things to be handed to me on a silver platter, never once did I say that. People in large guilds might spend 2 hours a day doing dailies and get their caps easily, but yet a small 2 person guild might spend 6+ hours to get half of their daily cap. In a way, the 2 person guild spends much more effort per person to get that XP. Why shouldn't they be rewarded for their time spent?

1. As someone else pointed out, this is an unreasonable assumption or just plain hyperbole. Roughly 90% of the people I meet in game I have no problems dealing with.

4. Everyone does have a chance to gain guild levels. Literally every single player has the exact same opportunity to gain guild levels, as they can contribute to the cap just as much per day. Does this mean a guild with more players has a better chance of leveling than one with two people? Of course, but that's just how numbers work.

5. You are being rewarded for your effort. And so are other people. How does a two-person guild spend more effort per person to gain guild exp? You still haven't explained that in a reasonable way besides saying it's so. There are people in hardcore raiding guilds and hardcore PvP guilds and the like that spend just as much time—if not more—doing things to level their guild than you do.

Regardless, it just doesn't make sense. You're essentially asking for guilds to be held back from leveling so that ridiculously small guilds can keep up.

Show me a way that you can keep up without harming the leveling of legitimate guilds and trivializing guild leveling, and I'd be fine with it. Until then, you're not going to please the vast majority by helping a few ridiculous casuals that refuse to make a choice.
