and I hit 85 and loved just about ever minute of it. The quests are epic, the characters are memorable, and the story is truely larger than life. The quick pace may seem like I didn't have time to enjoy the expierence, but I actually did have a great time doing it.

At this early point what are your initial thoughts on the leveling experience?

It's been pretty solid, I got a little annoyed getting stuck at 117/125 quests in Deepholm (anyone here completed Deepholm?!) with no other quests visible to me. But yeah, I'm about 5 million XP away from 85 (just under halfway there) and it has been good. Going through Uldum and when I finish that I will be going to TH to finish off.

I guess now that you remind me I did have one problem and that was getting stuck at 90/108 in Uldum. I was about 5% away from 84 and could not find where I got lost. Flew around for about an hour looking everywhere for what I missed and had no luck so I just grinded out the last 5% on mobs and minning nodes and left.

Wait, wait. 84-85 takes 10 MILLION? How the **** have people hit 85 already? I'm walking around today, 2 days into release and I see 85s all over the damn place now. What will these people do for the next 18 months?

10 million isn't that hard, really, when you're getting 57k-ish per quest. (It's actually 9.165 million, not 10.)

Then there is The Crucible event which gives roughly 100k each for a few. It actually went a lot faster than I was expecting it to.

This. Uldum and Highlands quests give 45-55k Exp so thats 1 mil Xp on average per 20 quests and none of the quests require lots of leg work. Toss in a random dungeon for 100k and dungeon quests if your lucky for 100k per also, it goes extremely quickly.

I hit 85 yesterday evening on my druid on Dark Iron, and I'm already 82 and 3/4th ish on Dracian, my rogue on Frostmourne.

To be honest, I doubt I'll even need that. I intend to work on my Archaeology and do some casual questing in Twilight Highlands to get some gear, but Archaeology has been the majority of my exp, and I'm not even 375 yet.

It's kinda crazy.

I'm 83, and find myself playing with alts more than I thought I would this early on. I'm really enjoying playing my main again after a bit of a break toward the end of Wrath, and I'm eager to get her to 85, but I stop when it starts feeling like a chore. At the moment I'm finding the lower level content more entertaining than the 80-85 stuff. Worgen and goblin starting areas are absolute win.

If you haven't tried Uldum, do it. If you like Indiana Jones at all, 90% of the zone is pure awesome.

Once my guild hit level 2 i was getting 73k xp from most quests in the twilight highlands. I dinged 85 yesterday, first in my guild. Now i'm just lazily working in professions, fishing, archaeology and so on. And reading up on factions, currently the easiest way to obtain epic gear is to raise cataclysm faction rep to exalted and buy their epic gear.

Going to bed at 87% into level 84 now. Fully completed Vashj'ir and Deepholm and am now halfway through Uldum. I intend to do Twilight Highlands after this just for the awesomeness of the quests and all. 320 on average gear - 329 is needed for heroics. I've been doing instances with guildies as I go, and have already seen them all as well.

All I need to do is find a way to track the CD on that annoyed Holy Word spell for my holy spec, then I can get to writing a new sticky and stick to doing chores like leveling cooking through the daily.

My hunter has leveled Archaeology to about 175, done each of the first two instances once, and zero new leveling quests.

He's a third of the way from 81 to 82.

I'm stuck there as well. Have finished all of the Therazane and ER story arcs so not sure what I missed, a guildie did finish the zone out so it can be done. I think the auto turn in occasionally fails to give you the next quest sometimes but I could be mistaken. The same thing happened to me about six quests into Hjyal.

I love the new quests that I have done so far. Deepholm is awesome sauce. Uldum has an epic feel and I'm just starting to get involved with TH. The new dungeons are super fun and I love how the quests are mostly just right in the entrance.

The new gear looks way better as well on my druid. He looks quite dapper right now.
