I have seen many, many, many threads on what everyone plans to do when Cataclysm releases. I recently started playing again so 4.0.1 is very fresh and new for me. I feel slightly overwhelmed by all the changes so far to the game and I often stay away from all information regarding new expansions so that the game is 100% new and exciting. But I feel a little underprepared for this particular expansion.

So...what I want to know is what is everyone doing to get ready for Cataclysm?

What are you selling or stockpiling?
What quests and/or achievements are going away that people are scrambling to finish?
What toons are you racing to 80 and why?
What will be your main toon for Cata and is it different than your current toon...if it is...why?
Etc...etc..

You get the point Smiley: smile

Same main, not really doing anything now with any of my 80s. I'm mainly messing around on alts checking out the new Azeroth. I have sold off most of my Wrath end game stuff, keeping some for leveling alts professions but mostly selling. Not really into acheesements. Pushing the bear first, then his gathering toon then my healer. Will for sure gear the rogue up last though just need his gathering professions.

Our guild has decided to make a final spurt to down heroic Lich King. We've had about four nights of attempts now and gotten him to 34%. Our next raid is due on sunday, but due to st. Nicholas that most of the Dutchies in our guild are celebrating, I don't expect him to go down then. We've posted up one additional raid on monday, which basically means 8-12 is LK heroic time, and after that we go straight into Cata. I definitely reckon we should go out of WOTLK with a bang and down heroic LK with just one or two hours to go to Cata.

Aside from that, I've been leveling professions on my main. I used to have Mining and Jewelcrafting, but our guild already has over 9000 JC's - I leveled Mining up from 200 to 450 and took Herbalism over JCing to provide our guild's alchemist with quick access to flasks when the expansion hit. I've also fished my way up to 200 skill and picked up cooking and raised that to 450.

Nothing special, I did the new Fishing and Cooking dailies for the first time today and I am still trying to get the Baron Riverdale mount in Stratholme.

Mostly guild stuff.

Updated the website, discussed what to do with the guild bank money, voted on and replaced the old tabard with a new one, put together a new application form for guild membership and got it up on the website, updated rank information promotions and GB access, etc. Mostly been catching up on all the stuff I'd been pretty slack about over the last couple months.

Now that more people are logging in again laziness got noticed. Smiley: lol

I'm mostly torn on what to sell and what to keep as far as mats for every profession. Like for example enchanting mats....I have...a lot...
Should I keep them or sell them. I will probably keep a few stacks...but I have 50 stacks of infinite dust and I don't need that much.

Running outside in the snow naked so I can call in sick from work for about a week when Cataclysm hits.
Well, not really.
Can't get online because I haven't got an internet connection in my house yet.
So I'm pretty much just waiting for my connection and for Cataclysm to release.

I haven't played for a few days and don't plan to really play before Tuesday. I want to take a short break before it becomes all I do with my spare time for a while.

I will log in, open my Oracles egg, buy a new one (assuming this one doesn't contain the drake), then hop over to Org and log out beside the flight trainer.

My only achievement goals were Loremaster & Seeker and I finished those so thank goodness my little obsessive self can sleep at night.

No way am I going to race to 80. I'm even claiming I'm not going to look things up on WoW Head, we'll see how that goes.

Same main, because she's, yanno, awesome.

Not stockpiling anything. I've never had the patience to be all clever about the economy or leveling profs. I'll start working on my tailoring/enchanting as I level, with the greens and cloth that drop and the quest rewards I don't use.

Relearning my WOW reflexes after over a year away:

*Everything is right click, not left
*I can't skin a skeleton
*No, I really can't skin a skeleton
*Occasionally I really, truly have to run away if I want to live
*The shift key is my constant friend

Stockpiling some basic mats for tailoring/ench on my lock, going to fish a load of mats for Fish Feast since it's still orange for me, and I'll be able to level up right away. Then I'll go fishing in the new areas asap. (Theres a voice in my head that keeps saying...mmm Server First for Fishing to 525, but unfortunately I have to work this week)
I'll do as many dailies on Monday as I can, to turn in on Tuesday. Basically tho, I just want to explore new areas, grab some fp's, and see if any guildies are ready to try some new dungeons.
