Guild bank problem-help!Follow

Okay, yesterday we changed guild leaders-from my husbands character to my character. Everything was cool, I bought a new bank tab and started putting a few things in that new page. A few other characters placed a few items here and there in other pages. This afternoon I look for something and EVERYTHING from the bank except for what was placed last night is GONE.

Nothing in the logs at all. There are no members in our guild besides myself, my husband and daughter. None of us had been hacked, I've logged in with each of them just to see if I was seeing things. As I said, there is NOTHING in the logs about items being gone, and everything was fine after the change, and today!

Is there something that happens to all items in a bank when guilds change hands? Should I be logging in checking mail or something? I opened a ticket but I am FREAKING OUT-it was five pages full of stuff from over the past 2 years!!

Anyone know what it might be??

edited to add that I found a post from a year ago that shows it is a bug. I am praying that it fixes itself, but I have a ticket in anyway. so...

I know! I'm sitting here almost having heart palpitations! I tried googling it every which way but loose and finally found a few mentions from others with the same problem. Hopefully it will resolve if we log out for at least 30 minutes, or maybe not until the next server restart.

I don't think there is anything that I need access to in the next few days(that I can think of). But yeah, I pray it gets fixed before Tuesday! If I had know about this bug, I would have just left him as guild leader! Argh!!

Not to question or criticize your decision...but why didn't you?

The character that my husband had as our guild leader, he doesn't play as much anymore. He also doesn't actually play as much as I do anymore and I get tired of asking him to log in and fix something with the guild bank or a guild rank for a character or something. It made more sense for my Druid to be the guild leader years ago, we just never got around to changing it until now.

And with the rolling restart this morning, everything was back to normal. :)

Fair enough, though any reason why you couldn't just login and do whatever needed done?

I cant help but notice that you failed to make mention of the required sacrifice of either a young child or 2(two) small, cute, furry kittens to the Gods of WoW. If this is an oversight then I apologize, but if you have failed to make the requisite sacrifice then you have naught to blame but yourself.

On a serious note, I had something similar happen and it took Blizz about a week to get it all worked out.
