Cataclysm Closed Beta Key Contest!Follow

What I'm most looking forward to about Cataclysm? Everything.

In all seriousness, there's not one thing I can pick specifically about this expansion that I like more than any others. Playable goblins and worgen? Awesome. New class combinations like the dwarf shaman, or my personal favorite, the tauren paladin? Even more awesome.

And let's not forget all the changes coming to the world! We'll be seeing everything the Blizzard design team has learned from years of building the world and seeing it applied to the level 1-60 experience, which is simply huge; maybe that grind to Outland won't feel so long once the quests are better balanced, with the excellent design philosophies we've seen from Wrath.

And the little things are important too! Simplifying statistics so that I don't have too constantly min-max my crit for my haste rating? A new secondary profession in Archaeology, and one that looks quite entertaining, especially in comparison to the ones we already have. And of course, we'll be able to fly in Azeroth, which means finally being able to buzz the Stormwind cathedral on the back of my nether drake (assuming it still stands, of course.)

With all the changes coming to WoW with this expansion, what's not to look forward to?

P.S. Fargo has to have designed quests for this expansion, and how amazing will those be?

I am mainly looking forward to the new Warlock abilities, especially the green fire. Also the guild leveling system and resurrection is a really cool feature which we should have seen in vanilla WoW, but alas they took off resurrection from Paladins. Nevertheless, flying in Azeroth will be awesome and inspire more PvP which I participate in whether it be in Wintergrasp, the numerous battleground, or the occasional guild raid of Orgrimmar or Stormwind (depending on which faction character I play).

Other then that this game will be really fun to play and I am looking forward to the countless hours that it will consume.

OMG, what is there not to look forward to. Flying in Azeroth old world, new class leveling areas. A WHOLE new way of looking at stats for gear. The excitement just can't be held back. A complete revamp of everything we've known, yet it's still that WoW everyone wants, literally. I can't wait to get into the new content. And again, FLYING ON MY OWN MOUNT. The change in scene with fires and huge craters is enough to make me explode. And then if I were given the chance to see it and test it....well I don't even want to think what will happen then. I haven't even gone into the new races and extending some of the classes to other races, the new profession of archeology and finding relics, the new island in the middle of both continents. That's only the few reasons I want in for the Beta...

its WoW, its just interesting seeing new stuff in itself, but nothing spasific

I am Extremely! Excited about catalysm. Not just the fact of being able to fly anywhere you want but also the elitness of seeing a whole new world of warcraft. Also I could become a worgen which would be pretty badass because who doesn't think being a worgen is badass also because being a new class is always fun. Another thing im excited about is that it wont be as challenging to pick your talents since you will only be able to use a tree of the talents and will make me not ***** up as much on talents and I wont keep wasting gold on respecing. This is why im excited for cataclysm.

im super excited to come back to wow for cataclysm
i would love to start my trek into new areas with friends
to start gearing up and maximizing my gear to the new stats
plus see how well guilds will stick together with the new guild rewards

I personally cannot wait to see flying mounts in azeroth! The very notion of this excites me and to see the landscapes of some major zones changed! The possibilities are endless!
#7109 Aug 01 2010 at 10:36 PM Rating: Decent
The thing I am looking forward to most about Cataclysm is, revisiting old zones specifically the Plaguelands to see what the impact the defeat of the lich king had on the scourge. I am looking forward to leveling my Troll druid/warlock or Goblin Rogue and playing through all the new quests and revamped zones it is going to be insane!

The burning crusade forced my warlock main into retirement
Death knights took over for me upon Wrath's procurement
But now a reprieve appears to be moving ever closer to me
With the pending class masteries and the new talents I see

The idea that I may once again rise to the top is thrilling
For many of my hated enemies, the idea must be very chilling
I will repay every sting I endured in the far distant past
Unleashing my new warlock powers will be a total blast

For a time I even walked away out of feelings of spite
To hold out hope for this coming day took all of my might
A day when the changes I've longed for will finally unfold
My doubts are past and on this cataclysm expansion i'm sold

It will be wonderous to see my warlock restored to greatness
And I don't care if it's amidst a cataclysm and great distress
That is the thing I look forward to the most in this new expansion
Not worgens, goblins, and such, but what with warlocks was done

I'm looking forward to HEROIC DEADMINES!

I'm most looking forward to the new dungeons and raids in cataclysm. Skywall looks amazing. Throne of the Tides seems very beautiful too.

What I am looking forward to the most in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion are all the funny npc names they piece together. Harrison Jones being an example from The Burning Crusade, that was a good one. Another example is Ophera Windfury. I seen a screen shot of Lieutenant Horatio Jones, a reference to CSI: Miami. I'm eager to see the quest thats involved with that. And I am sure there'll be other quirky names to discover and laugh at all throughout Azeroth when Cataclysm shifts the world anew.

Im excited about everything, the flying mounts, goblins, the destroyed and remade world, but what im most exited is worgens, and all those small changes like, the big talent chart thing, all the different screens, the new interface,
it sounds weird but thats one of the things that make it all look awesome, also i like that the world is going to be
more detailed along with the remade and destroyed world, something else that is cool is that theres no new continent
but more parts to azeroth and the changed azeroth. Im glad that they're making new races again because i liked the DKs and thought they were awesome at first, but then the wern't that cool after. That pretty much sums it up... oh yeah and the new race-class combinations are also pretty cool, and theres some new stuff that i haven't read yet about the mastery and stuff, and im also glad that trolls and gnomes are going to get they're new starting zones.

I am excited for the upcoming talent builds! Leveling seems to be getting better, without the hastle of having to spend points each just to upgrade to a 1% attack ratio. Now we are given spells and abilities to use in the beginning! Rather than having to play through 51 points of talents. What I wish they would add to WoW are guild halls for each select class. I've played many other rpgs and I feel like it'd be a fun, fresh feel to the game, adding select items and quests for the classes. Thank you!

Cataclysm: Well there are a lot of changes to wet one's appetite this time.

I'm sure some people are disappointed with the direction Cataclysm is taking us, while others are bursting at the seams and wishing the release was already here.

The thing I'm most excited about from Cataclysm is Archaelogy as another Profession (and a Secondary One at That!)

It's been stated already "special currency used to unlock character paths and allowing the player to further customize their character." Which leads me to believe this has taken the place of "Path of the Titans" which was formerly announced.

I know I shouldn't be greedy and only 1 topic was to be discussed, however I wouldn't be me if I didn't say I would also love to see some Crowd Control utilized again in Groups. Hopefully Cataclysm has something in store for us that miss needing to Crowd Control an adversary and not just AOE only.

Thanks!

I'm most excited about the changes to 1-60 leveling, as it should provide a nice change of pace when I level some of the alts I've wanted to make for a while.

I'm most excited about rogues getting a low level finisher that's gives a HoT and being able to switch over unused combo points to a new target. And I'm also excited about flying mounts In azeroth because its going to make travelling so much easier; it's going to be amazing !!

I am looking forward to leveling a Worgen Druid. It's also going to be really cool to see all of the new changes to Azeroth. I can't wait to see what Blizzard has done with Cataclysm, it looks like it will be like playing a whole new game!

Lookin' forward to flying in azeroth and Deepholm.

If you are nice enough to get me a key I look forward to testing.

Our world was once lush, green, and gorgeous; however, not one but TWO continents of Azeroth were recently struck with a disaster of cataclysmic proportions. Our world was turned upside down and flames and fissures have changed the landscape

I, Sarannah, and my priest, Desmona, are excited to adventure through the new world of Azeroth, taking up many new quests as we seek to restore order in a time of emergency. Most importantly, we are hoping our questing pays off so we can grow strong and fare against the likes of Cho'gall and Deathwing.

I am most looking forward to the worgen, its about time that the alliance actually got a savage race, also come on posh regal gentlemen/women, that turn into bloodthirsty beasts, thats enough to make anyone want to play. The re-done dungeons are going to be excellent aswell going back to the deadmines basically babies first dungeon will bring back so many memories most of which Sneed's whiney horrible voice that makes you want to rip your ears of, plus Silverpine Forest is my favourite zone in the entire game so to see the worgen running around, gaining entry to Gilneas, Shadowfang Keep remastered will make me a very happy dwarf! COME ON CATA!

Im looking forward To the path of the Titans as a way to customize your character along with adding of Hloy Power to Paladens since it gives us more of a stratigic aspect instead of FCFS. I also think we need this power source as we are powered by the light not arcane energy. Finally more open world pvp I may suck at it but There's still gotta be fodder on the battle feild to trample. :)

Hello, Introducing Turehu <Hetjuklúbburinn> - Skullcrusher EU

I'm realy looking forward to checkout the new talents and spells that druids are gaining in cataclysm and all those new encounters, I think I'm most excited about Ragnaros returning but lore wise i think its bit strange but i think i can live with that. I'm realy interested how they changed barrens and all those awesome zones, and I'm most likely going to level up goblin rogue when i get the chance. Goblins got some awesome racials that i want too check out and of course the new leveling zone for goblin looks amazing.
And of course all those new graphic changes are awesome atleast from the pictures i've viewed, the new water effect is amazing. I think the mastery system is going to be great so its going to be interesting to see how that works out.

Allowing flying mounts in Azeroth is going to be interesting and I'm probably going to spend alot of time flying around and exploring the new zones changes.

Anyway thank you for giving me the extra chance of earning a beta key and good luck everyone else out there.

-Turehu / Skullcrusher EU
