Worgen are going to be awesome, even the goblins might be fun.
I'm really looking forward to the stats/class talent changes though. Seems to be returning to a simpler time and way of doing things, while keeping everything fresh and revitalized.

There is multiple things in this upcoming expansion I'm looking forward to.
The world changing and the new zones are merely the top of my list. Having played since early in PreBC (merely a month after WoW went live), I've come to love the world I know, but even in my own hometown, things change overtime, and it excites me to see this happen in game as well.
New zones are always exciting. Cause they bring new content and new sights to see. Overall, you could almost consider the entire expansion to be a 'whole new world', but there will be enough of what we're familiar with to ensure us long-time players are not left in the dust.

Being given a chance to help ensure that the expansion is everything we hoped for and more would be excellent. But, I would hope anyone who wins this would feel the same.

Leveling up in the new Azeroth, is probably the most exciting thing for me, so much that I'll probably reroll a couple characters just to get the new feel. I can't wait to start exploring and checking out the quests! The zones fascinated me when I first started playing WoW, often times leading to me wandering into a zone that was...a bit out of reach for my level. But, I was just that fascinated. I was just as fascinated when I hopped into the Outland content, and Northrend still makes me smile when I stop and admire it. I'm giddy from the thought of what Cataclysm is bringing.

God, so many things. First off, I always wanted to roll a warrior, and what better warrior to choose then a giant werewolf? I've loved the worgen for a long time, always wondering about their lore and their apperence and movements in the game. The goblins also look very fun and interesting to play as, and may pull me more towards the horde (being an allies junky). After seeing Azeroth for countless hours and grinding multitudes of levels, I really want to see how it has transformed, and viewing it from another angle: a more elevated level. Flying mounts in Azeroth? About time.

Upon that I would love to see the new dungeons and zones available and see how they are, especially the zones that have been taunting me when I open the world map and see zones that refuse to be discovered. I'm also excited about the new class combinations for all the races. Dwarf shammans, troll druids, and (could it be? Yes!) gnome priests and human hunters. I'd be interested to see how the starting areas and quests not only change with the landscape around them, but to help gear and level the new classes that wouldn't normally be present.

All in all, I love the game, and buying an expansion (and this is much to Blizzards delight) is like experiencing the game for the first time all over again, now more than ever. I hope that I can look at azeroth with new found awe and excitement through Cataclysm. :)

Hey there,

Let my first start off by saying, what an awesome opportunity this is for everyone who has been craving that elusive beta invite that we have all be refreshing our inbox's for!

There are numerous things i am looking forward to.. simply because well almost everything is changing!

But, what really gets me going is the re-tuning of almost every zone, whether it be a level change like the western plaguelands or just a very nice visual upgrade. Why? you may ask, well essentially the whole vanilla wow zone has become a barren waste land. Long ago, when wow first came around i found myself frequently stopping and just looking at things, i would find myself aimlessly wandering the world just taking in all the awesomeness that was the world of azeroth.. sadly though, those days are long gone. But not for long, and what makes this so awesome is that leveling 1-60 wont feel so much like a un-bearable string of never ending quests in dry zones.. it will feel fresh again , young, vibrant.. everything will be new, and seeing that outlands still has some visual appeal and interesting quests, and wrath is still relatively fresh, quest and zone wise... leveling wont be such a chore anymore it will be a much more enjoyable experience, its going to be immersive on such a grand scale, that i think whether you like eye candy or lore.. its going to please you. Essentially we are going to get a whole new "beginning" to a world that long ago lost its appeal and became an annoyance rather than an enjoyable experience, of course end-game is still great im speaking strictly of old world.

In conclusion, i cannot wait for those moments where i will just stop whatever i am doing in game and just stare and be amazed at what a beautiful and immersive game these amazing developers have created, "Old Azeroth" will have never been so young.

cheers!
, wade

I'm looking forward to so much stuff in cataclysm but the one thing i'm really looking forward to is the new races and class combos!
#633 Jul 26 2010 at 9:33 PM Rating: Decent
What excites me alot is the thought that once again I'll level with the barrens chat floating like a river of everything you can think of. Don't we all miss that ? :) On a serious note, I can't say yet wether I like the new talent trees or not but I'd really like to see them in action. Seems like a really good idea, but I want to try it myself before giving positive ratings.

Edit: I want to see the water on my screen. Heard loads of comments like "MAN, THE WATER IS SO AWSUM!". Ye, I wanna see it.

Cataclysm is full of things that I'm excited to see and do, but probably what I am looking forward to the most is Worgen. I'm currently on the Alliance to be able to play with friends, but I've always liked Horde more, mostly because of the Orcs and Tauren. The Alliance races have always seemed a tad dull to me, but the addition of the Worgen tilts the balance in Alliance's favor. Here's hoping they change the Worgen male dance though...

I am excited to see the rampant amount of destruction that is caused in Azeroth, as well as the flying mounts being added as well.

(I am also excited to see all of the one post users posting on this thread.)

I am a Paladin, and have been before being a Paladin was cool. I played a Paladin in vanilla.

But shortly before the beta started, I decided I was going to switch my main to a Warrior (Worgen.) I wanted mobility. Being a stationary lightning-rod as a tank is cool, but I wanted a new experience, being able to rush around the battlefield with charges and intercepts and Worgen sprints. I want mobility.

Now, I have read about how much the Paladin is changing, and I love where they are going with it. So now, I am not sure which I look forward to more, trying the Paladin, or the Warrior.

Help me find out! Gimmie teh Key! =)

I'm really looking forward to the new Hyjal its been way too long since I've been there in burning crusade when they opened it in the caverns of time. i really want to see the great tree and all its glory. its the one piece of lore i truly love hearing about in WoW. i am also looking forward to flying in Azeroth, i really love exploring the old world and with flying mounts it will really make a huge difference in exploring the new Azeroth even more so.

There are a ton of things I am interested in...

First things first, azeroth changing, for the better? Who knows... well, those on beta know if the changes are good. I'm looking forward to see all the new quests that come along with the new changes, such as loch modan, I leveled nearly all my alts there and it will be interesting to see the different quests relating to the dams' breakage (and lets not forget the potential treasure/archaeology stuffs on the loch floor).

Which brings me onto my second point: archaeology, I can see a swarm of alts with variations of the name "Harrison Jones" (Of course, who else? expecially with the leaked achievement [It belongs in a museum!]). It's also exciting because it's the first *new* secondary profession.

Fishing anyone?

I am also extremely excited for the lore, expecially things like the wrathgate. The lore surrounding the titans and the world history, which worked great in ulduar, was amazing. So I hope uldum will be just as interesting.

I'm actually looking forward most to the new content and working out the mechanics of the new talent trees .. finding the righ combinatios of talents to ge tmy characters to do what I want they best wa they can. I have always been a big fan of the lore , so seing where they take the story is also a huge draw for me

The one thing I look forward to the most is the revamped questing experience from 1 to 58, and also from 78 to 85, this I feel will be much more like what I hear my friends talk about when they mention how leveling was back in pre-BC days. Ultimately this is why I'm holding back on leveling some of my alt characters, and I know when I get my copy of Cataclysm I will run off to my home like a rat with cheese in its claws and start leveling immediately, even if it is after midnight :-D.

Can't wait to fly in Azeroth so I can explore every single corner of the old world! :)

I'm looking forward to fight Ragnaros once again. Fighting him will no doubtably bring back old memories with cheers and tears. The new Goblin race is also very attractive. "Time is money my friend!" =) Best of all, rated bg will be available in Cata. Pvp guild should be able to survive now and have a chance to complete with pve guilds. There are so many other improvements I would like to try out, but those mentioned above are something I have been waiting for for a LONG time.

Like many others, I'm excited about starting a new toon from scratch so that I can truly explore and see all the new changes to not only the terrain in Azeroth, but also the retelling of some of the stories we've heard thus far, or maybe just more details about how the world came to be as it is. I've always really been into the stories that are told and experienced, so having all this new content to work with is what I'm most excited to witness...well that and flying around vanilla WoW :).

i am most excited about learning what thral's role will be in the upcoming expansion will he really be the new guardian of tristfall and what is the prime directive of the forsaken now that they have had there revenge on Arthas where will they go from here. i would also like to see how the new races play in game and how each fits into its new faction
#645 Jul 26 2010 at 9:45 PM Rating: Decent
What I'm most interested in for Cataclysm are the Hunter power-mechanics change, Druids (of all types and specs, especially tanking), and Subtlety/Assassination Rogues in PvP. I also can't wait to see all of the changes to instances and raids -- we'll finally need DPS for CC, which means tanks and healers can't push DPS around!

I am very excited to level up my new goblin hunter, with all the new hunter changes like steady shot at lvl 3, and the new hunter focus mechanic, its going to be very fun to level. They are also changing the 1-60 experience so ill get a new alt with a new race in a new 1-60, (old 1-60 was boring i did it like 6 times.) i would love to test the hunter class to see if i like the focus mechanic before i level one when it gets released.
#647 Jul 26 2010 at 9:45 PM Rating: Decent
most looking foreward to dive bombing horde cities in my flying mount.
#648 Jul 26 2010 at 9:46 PM Rating: Decent
Me personally cannot wait to play every class/race :P
but mainly i would like to go explore around the map (kalimdor and eastern kingdoms FLYING!)
And i would also like to send feedback to blizzard because out of all people I'm the one who always gets stuck or wedged between a rock :P

I'm looking forward to following the developments to the Warcraft story; completing some journeys, beginning others, following the characters that we've followed the story of Azeroth with since the onset of the Warcraft universe.

Additionally, I very excited to learn to play the Hunter class while using the Focus resource system. This will be a huge and new breath of life for our class that will definitely make the game all that more interesting to play.

From Hogger's reign of terror to the Lich King's sweet defeat. We the heroes of Azeroth have conquered thousands of challenges placed by the creators of this massive world over and over again. With a sword on one hand and a spell brewing in the other ,we have evolved from a small community of Alpha testers to a population of millions of gamers united together by a single game of true greatness.

Cataclysm (like Burning Crusade and WotLK) will bring forth new challenges to us, a new concept of our classes and races, and a new chapter in our virtual lives. Just from the extremely helpful and insightful videos Tankspot has provided of previews, we can almost all agree that Cataclysm will be the most amazing feat Blizzard has achieved through the years.

If i were to be given the chance to explore this amazing world with my own character and feel first hand what wonders await i would take it full advantage to explore every single content it has to offer. From the crazy Goblins to the blood thirsty worgen. i will explore and become a part of the beta.

thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

For the Horde!

I'm looking forward to a more "vanilla-ish" WoW... But with flying mounts... Not to mention better graphics, better art, new zones, new quests, Phasing being used MUCH more often and wide-spread...
