Re-Downloading WoW (NOOB Question!)Follow

#1 Jan 10 2007 at 6:15 PM Rating: Decent

I recently had my PC cleaned out. Now I need to re-download and install WoW. Can anyone tell me where I can do this? I first started playing by using the 10-day free trial. Then upgraded my acount.

All I have been able to find is the 10-day free trial. Which I can't use since I'v already registered an account.

Thanks to any help or links. Sorry for the noob questions and SPs.

Dude, just write down your user/pass/CD Key and reinstall the game.

Go in the Launcher, re-patch, and... log in?

You say "download" like you got it off Limewire or something.

I didn't buy the game from the store. I bought it from the WoW website after the 10-day trial was over. Looking for a place to download the full game for someone who already owns a account.

Thought that was clear...

You didn't clarify you bought it online.

The exact same place you bought it should have an area for people who have already bought it. You've got a CD-Key, and I think that's all you need.

I personally got the hard-copies so I could be sure that I'd be safe when the **** hits the fan.

Pifuaa, he did clarify that he bought it online. At least, *I* got that...

Anyhow, I take it you're comp is already cleaned out? It's actually possible to copy the entire WoW directory as it doesn't make any changes to the registry, but if you've already deleted it, then you're out of luck there.

TBH, I don't know where you can get a full copy online. Do you have any friends that have it?

He didn't say he got it online he said he used the 10-day trial. You can get the 10-day without downloading the game.

I don't know anyone who plays and owns the game IRL. I have to retreive my CD key also. Which was sent to me from Blizzard via email. So most likely they can find it for me, if I need it.

Right now, I am trying to locate a safe place to download the full game and re-start my account.

I believe you can re-download the trial and use your purchased key. That should turn the trial into the full featured version. I have never heard that there was a separate download for the full game.

Blizz also sells $1.99 trial cds in alot of stores, so if your willing to do that you get a hard copy to keep for cheap. Install, plug in your account info, update, and your back to where you were.

Might just be me but its always nice to have a hard copy lying around someplace.
