More info from a blue...

Topic's been deleted. Wha did it say? Anything on when it's being fixed?

And it's simple to do. All you do is walk within 20 yard or whatever of a Non contested enemy flag and you should be able to start capping it. Kind of scary really, the horde in my AV today showed me it was posible to cap bunkers without even going inside.

PS: AFK mark-farmers also help you people a lot, F*CKIN B*TCHES should all die drowning in their own vomit. It can't take them so much effort to help a bit so that even if we lose we'll get some extra honor, and if it does then they shouldn't fuccin play, the basterds.

The solution until they fixed the snowballs

OMFG !!! awsome xD thanks for showing Lockjawlol
I demand that blizzard un-nerf's snowballs so I can kick AFK motherf*ckers out of the BG !!!

Seriously about AV, an alliance player can mount up and get to FW GY barely being hit once, with an arrow... And FW GY is one of the worst defensible positions EVER... And when alliance rez in their cavern they can walk some 50 yards and they'll be sitting on SP GY... And other arguable but noticeable differences sure don't make a win for the alliance, but hey, everything counts to some extent.

This "exploit" really shouldn't stop Alliance from winning. You still can't pull this off at the aid station, they can still bottleneck the bridge, and the alliance can still get into drak's bunker without aggroing any NPCs. As long as Alliance keeps defense at the bridge, and watches the relief hut's flag, it shouldn't hinder their ability to dominate AV.

Horde can pull this off at the aid station (rogue/druid stealths in). Also stormpike. Constant attacking of flags leads to heavy alliancxe defence, leads to minimal offence. Horde can grab flags back easily.

Did about 20 AV's last night with the exploit being used to it's fullest potential by the Horde players. By about 2am ST we were winning again. Won 3 back to back and almost a 4th if it wasn't for some bad pulls on Drak.. We could slow them down by being really careful on the flags.. at SP you can camp up on the hill behind and see players trying to cap the flag on the other side of the hill (towards mine).. had a few Rogues there waiting and me as a Lock on the hill dottin em up. Can't stop a full rush, but at least stop a few from the ninja cap... Convincing almost the entire raid to go O, then have a few trinket back when they cross our bridge seemed to work well.

A couple of funny things tho..

Cue's went from 30-45min to 3-4 min lol even in off hours (I guess just about every Horde player wanted in on that action)

And we were still coming out with 175-250 honor points even when we lose... All in all I made more honor losing with 3 min cues's than winning with 40 min cues lol

Not saying that ever single Horde player was using the exploit or anything.. but it was funny to see those cues go so low.. LOL

Saw this used last night! I was guarding SH GY very early on with a few other guys when all of a sudden the capping flag animation started? Ran closer to see if anything was next to the flag, but nothing. This exploit really makes it difficult to defend cause how are you supposed to stop people taking the flag if they stand at the back of the attacking group?

One which I'm still confused about is, I saw a Horde warrior run into a building near the flag at SH GY and stand up against the wall facing the direction of the flag, I was in stealth at the time so he didn't see me. Anyway I attacked him before I thought about watching what he was going to do etc...was he just HK farming or something?

The bug affects both sides. *Controlled* flags can be capped from about 30 feet away. *Contested* flags can still only be capped at a normal distance.

The bug seems to disproportionately benefit the Horde because it screws defenders, thereby spoiling the time-honored winning Ally strategy of defending heavily at Stormpike Graveyard.

Interesting how a change that theoretically would be of equal benefit to both sides hurts one side so much more.

I hope they fix the bug soon; I don't feel right playing in AV until they do.

Not that I like AV much anyway. Too PVE. Bring on the Eye of the Storm!
