Gadgetzan Guards gankingFollow

I was in Gadgetzan fighting some horde, by luring them outside of the town and killing, when these 2 horde (shaman + rogue) began to kill all the alliance in the town. Of course the bruisers all rushed at them, and netted them, but then, as soon as they killed their alliance, the horde suddenly dissapeared (didnt die) and the guards walked off. Then they appeared again about 10 seconds later and continued. they continually killed loads of the alliance without dying once. How did they do this? you cannot logout while in a battle, and they came back far too quickly to have exited the game. what did they do? the guards can see invis...

Oooh man that's nasty and cheap...
