Filefront doesn't have the patch up and my campus' internet connection won't allow the blizzard downloader to run. Anyone know a mirror?

fileplanet's isn't up yet, usually late afternoon they post it. I was gonna start a patch mirror post once I saw a few of them were up.

It'd help if Blizzard's patching system wasn't so freaking worthless.

Half the time they don't even work... Bad CRC files almost every single non-Stand Alone patch they release.

I wish Blizzard would do us a HUGE favor and release optional stand alones with EACH AND EVERY SINGLE PATCH.

Many many MANY users posting on their Tech Support Forums going "I can't patch!!" you'd think Blizzard would get the freaking hint sometime before next decade.

PS: Try #50 in trying to load WoW's Tech Support forums. God I hate trying to get in that place.

premium DL is up now here, if you have trouble getting it still send me a PM I can probably host it myself.

once I get it that is, I'm @ 71% now.

there are no links available yet, all the normal mirrors don't have it yet.

Premium users can download it from here, but that's it.

I will repost it somewhere and post the link once I get the whole file.

I waited until today to get the patch and I was getting over 100k/sec from the blizzard downloader. I was shocked and amazed.

Of course now half my mods don't work again, but oh well, I'll survive somehow.

Ok, thank you.
Another dumb question, how or what do I do to start the download if using the blizzard downloader, attempt to go in game and then exit and will it start automatically?
Thank you

I'm getting mine to work at a snail's pace... right now at 10%, from about an hour or so ago... =/

It says my computer is behind a firewall though, Is there anyway to temporarily disable it?

I have Norton AntiVirus, and I did read the "configure your internet thingy for blizz downloader... bla blah blah..." (As you can see, I am not very computer capable >.<)

I tried that but whn I get the to the configure menu, something pops up about an error on the page, and I can't "add" the blizz downloader thing to the list..

Bah.

Any ideas on how to temporarily disable Norton? Or even if it would be worth it to do so?

EDIT: Downloading from the link TseTsuo the Wise gave (in this thread), working great at the moment, Will update.

The last patch I was able to download via Utorrent (a bit torrent client), but this time around, I can't get it to work.

I loaded the torrent file that is in the cache folder, I set the download folder to be in the patches/wow2.0-wow2.03/ folder and I set the port to 3724.

What am I doing wrong?

Bah, it's probably my vonage phone... that thing has been causing me so many headaches with torrents....

I had all the problems with the downloade_slow, firewall error, symantec interference, losing connection etc. Used the above link instead, it worked well and I'm back in the game. Thanks Tse!

Okay, I downloaded it (saved it to my WoW folder but I added "FILFRONT" to the end of the file name in case I needed to find it) and when I try to get into the game it says I still need to download the patch... What the monkey?

Any idea?

downloading the file and saving it in your wow folder is not the same thing as installing it....

It's file from Tsetsuo's link from filefront right?

Why don't you try double clicking it, just like you would with any .exe file....
