PVP Gear, What to do?Follow

Hi all, first post :)

I reached 60 on my main about 3 weeks ago roughly and have just started to pvp in BG with my character. I have pretty decent gear at the moment Stormshroud/shadowcraft) and have just got a GM dirk which i'm very happy with.

Is it worth me slogging my guts out to get a set of GM armor and another weapon or would it make more sense to wait till TBC comes out and get some gear while leveling?

opinions needed

Thanks.

My recommendation, if you haven't done so already, is to grind gold to buy your epic mount. The riding skill will be needed to get your flying mount skill.

I hear prices will even be going down on the 16th.

Thanks for the reply, I have got my epic mount training after looking through huge numbers of sites getting tips on how to earn money, and I sit on a nice war tiger :) Although I will be a bit gutted if the price does go down :(

You don't really need epics to level in the expansion, it just makes you survive an extra 0.2 seconds after that roaming group of 15 horde spots you in Hellfire Peninsula killing boars. I'd say go for another weapon but don't kill yourself over the armor.

Here's an idea... do what's fun for you.

If battlegrounds are a "slog" or grind, don't do them.

Personally, I started out grinding BGs with the new items they added, but soon realized I was enjoying the hell out of it. So I've been in BGs almost non stop since the last big patch. Now I'm growing tired of it and I'm going to go run instances or work on making some high end stuff from my professions.

It's a game. Play it for fun.

This is what I have found! I really enjoy BG's now, I have kept clear of them right up to 60 but now, since I have started joining them, I love it. From fighting other people I have learn't moves that I just wouldn't have thought of doing!

I have decided to get the lower set of armor To go with my GM dirk M/H and Shadow Blade O/H as it is a big improvement over what I currently have and should only take me a week or two to get the rest of the honor I need.

I enjoy the BG's cause you never get the same thing happen match after match unlike instances which lets face it are pretty repetitive.

Thanks for the replies :)

He he he you don't think PvP can get repetitive, wait until you hit a pre-made team and they roll you every game your in. I have had it happen and it seems to happen alot more at the 60 level mark.

But yea I would go for as much of the PvP set as you can before next week. Have fun and "Let the bodys hit the floor" !

Well, since I had crappy gear (and still do) I decided I would grind up some honor for WL gear, but then, as I always tend to enjoy BG's (except for some long useless AV matches) I don't think of it as a real "grind" thing, I'm just having fun and getting something useful out of it on the way.

I have come across a couple of pre made horde teams and some have absolutely destroyed us :( others have been a very balanced fight due to the fact that the team I was put in worked together quite well and on a few occasions we have won. But it is bound to happen along the way, just have to deal with it lol.

I think since the guild i'm currently in does not have enough lvl 60's (it's quite new) to do the larger raids this is a good alternative, plus while waiting for BG to start I go and Grind for rep so I cant get the 15+ Agility Enchant recipe :)

"Let the bodies hit the floor". - Drowning Pool.

:) Awesome song. Anyways to contribute to on topic.

Pvp gear - If you've spare time, get as much as you want. Once you've got the mount for riding skill, i've been told that higher level blues/greens will replace most armor.

PVP Armor - lv 63
PVP Weapons - lv 65

This roughly covers it. I personally will be getting PVP gear come BC. Because it looks awesome. But in terms of leveling, I wouldn't say PVP grind to get gear to level up, it will be easily replaced.

AB is wrecked in our battlegroup. Ultra-short queue times are causing the majority of "participants" to go for the five-minute lose. It's a real snorefest. You can get 12 marks an hour losing as opposed to 3-9 trying to win. So, completely discouraged by that, I've made up my mind to be happy with my PvP blues and grind money and...

...gather copper ore. Come expansion, just about every player (whether they stick with it or not) will at least start a jewelcrafter. It takes a bunch of copper to get that going. I expect that demand will go way up for a week or two and supply will not be able keep up. Hopefully, copper prices will shoot through the roof. I intend to cash in. If not, I'll have plenty of copper for my jewelcrafter.
