45000 Honor before TBC. Possible?Follow

I've been reluctant to PVP on my Paladin. Far too reluctant it seems, and now I've seen how stupid I've been waiting, and regreting it even more - and now I really want the GM Polearm.

I want to know - if I'm playing for, say, 5 days for 4hours equalling 20 hours, then a further 28 hours with bonus Honor - could I rack up the whole 45000? I'm tempted to pull a sicky (Salty water ftw?) from school for a day, but only if there's a huge difference in possibility.

Why I waited so long I don't know. I wasn't levelling an alt (Which I will do if it's impossible, which I assume it is, based of my current hours, only 9.5 levels, but I know it'll take be past TBC - maybe I should while Outlands dies every 5 minutes?), I've not been making money - I've been doing aboslutely nothing. I've been buying items for my Twink-To-Eventually-Be. (Almost all the items done now /phew)

So - any thoughts? Is there a way I could possibly do this? I don't want to leach honor, I'm against this sort of thing 100%, so that's no answer. I've thought about Pre-Mades for a few hours, but they'd eventually see how crap I was and boot me. Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate it.

(After reading this through - I've been thinking about getting it anyway, even if it's Post-TBC, it's a nice weapon, stats and looks wise, and is a vast improvement from my Doomulus Prime ^_^)

I confused as to what role the expansion release plays in your desire to own this weapon. Either you want it or you don't. I'd recommend you start doing some battlegrounds. If you aren't good at them or you don't enjoy them then chances are you'll get discouraged and not get the honor anyway. As far as whether or not it's possible to get that much honor in a week... I have no idea. I'd guess that some serious hours could manage it though.

I got two GM dirks and am now sitting on 18k honor and I pvp casually.

If you were horde you could do it np (instant queues), but as ally you need to learn how to strategically queue yourself so you're always in a BG.

Good luck.

Is it POSSIBLE to do 45k honor in a week? Anything's POSSIBLE, but let's look at some things.

You're Alliance and you're going to be Pugging, at best you'll get 800-1k honor per hour. AB weekend is ending today, AV weekend was last weekend. That means that this weekend will be either WSG bonus honor or none at all. (I honestly don't remember) Either way though, even for premades this is going to be a lower weekend because they can roll through WSG until they hit another premade and then the honor per hour drops.

So what it comes down to is while it's theoretically POSSIBLE to do it, it really isn't worth burning yourself out so bad for a weapon that you're going to replace in less than a month anyways, even if you're only gaining a level every 3-4 days in the expansion.

You can replace it at level 66 with a superior weapon from a Nagarand chain (an easy-ish one too - Arena fighting, don't even have to move!). Don't sweat it so much.

Ok guys - thanks for the replies - I've decided against it.

As you said, I'll be replacing it soon - I've just been told by a friend that I'll be getting a new piece of coursework tomorrow, and tbh, I'm not sacrficing my grades for a few pixels with nice numbers and.. good.. lo- *Snaps fingers* ENOUGH!
I've told myself I'm not doing and I'm not doing *Calm down*

Thanks for your insight!

Ummm, it doesn't really matter.

PVP BG will still be open (you can still get HWL items) even after TBC is released.

There is a possibility that these epic items will be inferior to the 61-62 greens. But so what? Unless you plan to reach 70 in a couple of days, I suggest you take your time.

The worst part in WOW is to reach the end-game too soon...again.

You can expect to get about 650-800 honor per hour right now as a casual PvP player. If you could get with a strong pre-made on vent, you could roll Arathi Basin in 5 or 6 minutes and get over over 1000 an hour. But it is hard to do much better than that, so 45000 honor would take a lot of hours.

With a good premade(as in real pvp people, not pve crowd who want easy pvp gear) we were making steady 5000-6000 honor a day. And that was not a 12 hour grind. As horde tho, given horrible que time on alle I doubt same is possible.

I thought this was a math formula for a while. Didn't want to bother with calculating anything.
