I recently started some new toons on a different server other that my main, they are the opposite faction as to experience the other side of things and the BG ques are tons better so it was an obvious choice for me.......or so I thought.

Ex FFXI players, remember the language barriers between the Asian and American players? Sure the chat options helped things a little bit but it was very bad for the most part. Well, the server that I'm on and didn't realize it until i got comfortable (I solo a lot), was that English is the minority on this server. Brazilian (Portuguese) and Russian are the predominant languages for this server.

Now I'm not going to mention which server it is....*cough* Warsong *cough* Now partying with these people become an actual challenge most of the time because of the language barrier. You get short choppy sentences like "Go SM yes?" or "Summon RFD?" it gets the point across but for some of the harder encounters it will be a real problem.

I have a question? I really don't know how the Oceanic servers work, well because I'm in the U.S. and I use an American server, but are there really that many Russians and Brazilians in America that just so happen to populate said realm or does Blizzard offer the American version of the game in different countries?

The other day I was running SM Cath and I was the only English speaking person in the group and in the middle of the hunter's pet pulling aggro I really felt like yelling "Bomb!" lol oh I'll never forget some of the crap from that game even though I can't stand it.

I never really had a problem with the JP/NA language barrier; for the most part, the barrier was that the american players quickly established a reputation for not playing as well, worse even than the japanese themselves when the game was first released. I just kept my mouth shut, had very minimal search contents, and got along playing as the quiet mithra black mage who knew their job.

I'd guess that it is the case that the NA version of WoW is produced in greatest number, and was produced before other versions, so was and is the most available.

Try putting "JP PT ONRY" in your LFG tool's comment, see if you get any bites then.
