Need Opinion on what to choose :Follow

#1 Jan 07 2007 at 10:51 PM Rating: Default
Recently my 2 friends just quit WoW to focus on their Studies and because of their mad parents. It was my friend and his Lil Brother. they said they will be giving their accounts to his cuz, and since i am a close friend and a childhood friend, i tried to ask if i can have an account and luckily he said yes. But i can only choose 1 of it. these are the details :

Lv 60 Warrior
ALL HWL items
300+ FR gear
300+ NR Gear
4/8 Tier (Might)1 Pcs
2/8 Tier 2 (Wrath) Pcs
300 Blacksmithing (all of the good plans learned including Dark Iron plates)
300 Enchanting (all of the good formulas learned, exalted in some factions)
Have some good 2 handed weapons that can drops on AQ,MC,BWL

or should i choose his lil brother's account?

Lv 60 Mage
Full Tier 1 (Arcanist)
7/8 Tier 2 (Netherwind)
Epic Rings,Trinkets,Staff
300 Tailoring ( have all the good tailoring patterns on it)
300 Enchanting ( all of the good formulas learned too)

Well, i was thinkin of what to choose ? a lot of people was sayin i should go for the warrior since it has reputations which is hard to raise and a decent gear rather than the mage who is fully epicced but doesnt have reputations? I dont know, but i keep on hearin that when TBC comes out, t1/t2 items will be trashed out because of the level 64+ greens that can be picked up? its hard to decide =/ i hope you can give an answer and why did you choose that. :) help appreciated and thanks.

If you haven't played before don't get either, just go out buy the game and start your own character. The learning curve of the game is built into the leveling curve. If you try to throw yourself in at the top you'll just end up completly lost, with not idea what to do.

If you have played before go with the class you have the more experience with. If you don't have experience with either class or have played before but don't have a 60 see previous paragraph.

PS: Don't be suprised when the account gets banned.

I would have to agree with the previous poster, startint at or near the top cheapens the experience of the game and how it's played. Sure you would be able to adapt and learn but there is a reason that this game is so popular and having everyone maxed out in lvl and gear to start out isn't what keeps people around.

Also, being new you will have questions and be uncertain of things that you should know according to the gear of the characters. People in-game will get upset by your lack of knowledge and it will become aparent that the account wasn't yours and you will get a lot of guff from it.....

Your chances of getting banned just went up tremendously.

Quote:
Exchange of World of Warcraft Currency/Goods/Services for non-World of Warcraft Currency/Goods/Services, and Vice-Versa (Buying/Selling Gold, Items, Characters, and/or Accounts)
Anyone offering World of Warcraft content for sale is attempting to steal from and deceive you, as no one is EVER allowed to sell any aspect of the World of Warcraft MMORPG except Blizzard and its licensees. Blizzard will not recognize the transaction resulting from the seller's prohibited behavior! Attempting to circumvent this rule by selling "the time put into the character" DOES NOT make such a sale legitimate, as the transaction still results in the transfer of World of Warcraft virtual property (which is acknowledged by every player as solely belonging to Blizzard Entertainment and/or its licensors) and in the seller receiving money.

CONSEQUENCES:
Any evidence uncovered by Support investigations that the account has been involved in the exploitation of the World of Warcraft Economy by purchasing currency, items, characters and/or accounts may result in:
  • Removal of any World of Warcraft content that was purchased from anyone other than Blizzard Entertainment. Note that the sale of existing accounts, currency, items, and characters, or any aspect thereof, is not presently offered by Blizzard or its licensees, nor is the availability of such services foreseen.
  • Immediate Account Closure of any account found to have been transferred from the registered user to anyone else. Blizzard Entertainment neither recognizes nor permits the transfer of accounts.

Level your own toon.

It's far more fulfilling than getting a geared level 60. You can also learn to play your toon properly. The last thing you want is to be known as a noob.

If you haven't gotten to 60 on your own yet, don't get either. You wouldn't be dense enough to buy a Final Fantasy or Zelda game and then copy a friend's 100% complete savegame onto your memory card right away, right? The journey to 60 is the best part. The destination's not anywhere as fulfilling.

Roll your own toon and use the lvl60s you'll have for farming gold and stuff, but for nothing else. You'll learn how to play this way and still have better then average stuff on your character.

If you played one of those classes to 60 before you can play that character.

im not buying his account, he will just give it to his cuz, so i ask if i can have an account and he said yes because he will not use it anymore to focus on his studies, but i can only choose 1 , his account or his lil brothers account, and yes, i have 3 level 60's too, A Mage, a Warrior, and a Warlock. But its from the alliance faction, i wanna my friend's account coz somehow i wanna see how the horde faction is. im just having problems what to choose on it. also, i wouldnt post in here if i am buying an account, since its against the Forum rules. as i was sayin, i was just asking for an opinion :) thanks.

So: you already have three (!) level 60s and cant choose another but are interested in acquiring a character that you didn't level and have no afinity with. Ah bless. It is amazing how much one can learn without learning anything at all. Mmmm.

Why dont you direct us to your currently existing multiple characters ? Otherwise, sorry, I (and I suspect everyone else) don't believe you.

Over, and out.

I would think that the guy would be able to take back the account at any time so I certainly wouldn't use such an account as my only active account. You don't have much risk of being banned for doing this but since Blizz doesn't recognize transfer of ownership, you have no recourse if the guy changes his mind at some future date.

All that aside though, I'd probably just go with the one that has the most gold (or gold farming potential) and use that to build up a character on my OWN account that I really like playing.

I know that you aren't buying. You said that in your initial post. However, I also realize that I am also talking to a very young teen or a pre-teen. Purchase is not the problem. Transfer is. Tell me what you don't understand in "Immediate Account Closure of any account found to have been transferred from the registered user to anyone else. Blizzard Entertainment neither recognizes nor permits the transfer of accounts." Blizzard has no way of knowing whether you traded your pet frog for the account, paid $1,000,000 for it, or it was given out of friendship. All are the same.

Everything that has been said is true. You're going to look like a moron when someone tells you to "stance dance" and you have no idea what they're talking about.

Learn to play the game. That means level your own toon.
