Skilled Hunters keep their pet on Passive because otherwise it'll chew through Freezing Traps and Scatter Shots.

I have PetAttack bound to Shift-T.

And for your information, PvP stands for Player vs. Player. As opposed to PvE which is Player vs. Environment.

The MAIN goal in WSG isn't to KILL and SURVIVE. It is to WIN.

You cannot win by killing stuff and staying alive in WSG. I'm guessing you play Alliance?

#30REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 10:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) When someone like Jord talks about "PvP", they mean combat. I know that you get more honor from doing what you do, I'm saying that you can't hold your own very well.

If you, Pifuaa, would read my entire post you would see that healing does have a place in PvP, my Priest friends have the insane mana regen to heal themselves, pop a shield, throw a few smites, and then repeat the process. Most of my guild isn't even in T1.5, but somehow our Priest has 7k mana and 4k health UNBUFFED because he knows how to play and how to spec.

you just come off as too big a jerk.

to 95% of wow, pvp means bgs, not duels and not world pvp.

lol

jord's got a big enough mouth (i mean that in the nicest possible way)

the last thing he needs is you shoving words in it.
#34REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 10:34 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Healing is fine, you just need the right circumstance. With Druids, it's actually easier to heal in PvP since you can turn into "rawr" Bear form if people gang-bang you. (won't help against magic)
#35REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 10:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You don't rate up good posts as often as you rate down bad ones.
#36REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 10:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Fine and dandy. Uh-huh.

Pifuaa, you haven't a clue what you're talking about when it comes to the PvP viability of druids (or for that matter, healing in a BG). 2 Druids (one feral one balance) and a resto Shaman were able to hold the farm in AB against a full guild premade, easily. The 2 druids topped the KB list with the balance druid doing over 100k damage that go round (I missed out on 100k healing by 50 ;;). Oh yeah, and for healing being suicide, I only died once that AB. The best part is, none of us save myself have much in the way of raid epics.

In conclusion, don't go shooting off your mouth (errr, hands) when you haven't seen what a class is capable of in the hands of a dedicated player.

Edit: Here's a link to a couple crits from said druid. The best part is, they were posted by one of the most respected druids on the Alliance side of Greymane. ;) Mutestar defending Druids' honor

Feral Druid VS.

Warrior:

Start cat, pounce. Rake then mangle to 5 combo points. Rip. switch to Bear and let the DoTs take effect while they hopelessly try to bang on your 9k armor.

Mages:

Pounce, mangle until stun wears off. Mage frost nova/blinks, swap to bear and feral charge. Keep swaping forms whenever they make distance and stay on them like sh*t on velcro.

Rogues:

Start bear, let them do their stunlock which only takes you down to half health after they blown all their abilities. Tear them apart now that they have no more tricks up their sleeves and they left you with a full bar of rage

Hunters:

Laugh that they have no hope at keeping you at range for more the 2 seconds and take your free HK

Paladins:

Same as warriors, wait for them to bubble and do it again after it wears out. Stun in bear form if you need to throw a heal.

Preists:

Cat form, pounce, rake, mangle, trinket out of fear and finish the job.

Warlocks:

Turn around and find anyone else

1000 damage crit? That's worse than a Pally.

1k crit at 59 remember, In dungeon blues thats about 1300, and we can throw 3 mangles in 4 seconds cause the energy cost is so cheap. 1300 tickles, 3900 in 4 seconds hurts.

#40REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 10:52 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) We aren't talking about KB either. Warriors can farm KB with execute and still be ****** in PvP.
#41REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 11:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You can get 3 crits in a row? Windfury would be scarier in such a case.

Pif, have you tried a healing Druid post-patch? Because the recent changes they made to HoTs top out druids on the healing charts in my guild. Druids are up there with Priests now, the HoT benefits they have are just too much to be true.

Great, that so helps in PvP situations where I said healing is suicidal.

So, are you talking about 1v1? Because in group play, healing is a winning strategy.

What is your problem Pifuaa? You hi-jacked this thread and turned it into a druid bashing thread.

yea, I've rated you down.

#43REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 11:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This thread wasn't going to have any fiber in it anyways. Now it's a discussion.

And then you go talk about druids again. Funny.
#46REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 11:16 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not really. I was pointing out that Warrior's ********** has already been established; the topic can't be derailed if there was no one posting in it.

Then let it die.
#48REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 11:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For my rating, and because no one can argue against my points of the class hiearchy, I shall.
#49 Jan 07 2007 at 11:26 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah, I kind of came in late here, but all of this trolls assumptions are based on stereotypes. On one of its last points it said that they cant kill with about being killed in a proper ratio. That is far from true. When i was on my Hunter, I saw many druids that could kill the other team more than they died, and now on my very own druid, I do the same. Once you have learned the class, and get skilled playing it you can play as well as many other classes.

i've pretty much awfulled every one since, not because i'm immature, but because you're nothing but an argumentative troll who passes guesses and opinions off as fact.
#51REDACTED, Posted: Jan 07 2007 at 11:29 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sure, if Druids avoid the other classes. We're talking about all classes against Druid in a kill:death ratio averaged together.
