So Blizz posted on the WoW site that you could buy TBC directly from the Blizzstore, posted 1/5/07

Good luck, it's already "out of stock".

DRAT. I wanted to buy one this morning while they were still in stock, but noooo, my dad wouldn't give me his credit card until I called EBX and asked if they would honor my preorder there (which I couldn't do because I had to go to a college interview). So EBX better cough up the goods...

Seo, I have actually been trying for quite some time, had actually ordered on for a nearly outrageous amount of $$, less than ebay however. But just this week the company I ordered from informs me they no longer have any left... I ordered forever an ago, why didn't they know then?!?!

I was able to snag a CE, with 2nd day shipping (not paying overnight shipping when servers aren't even going to be stable anyways) from Amazon for only $68.

Wife got a bit pissed when she found out about that though. She calmed a bit when I explained it was either this or I go buy the new Zelda game and FFXII which would be a lot more. :)

I just have this sick feeling though that release day will come and there will be some problem and they'll tell me "oh, sorry, we screwed up and you're not getting a collector's edition anymore".

Glorius Goofydude,

Everyone everywhere plays WoW. Good luck with that.^^

I don't have an incredible urge to explore incredibly populated zones, so I will be waiting for the expansion content anyway. So I will just wait to buy it.

I'm having the exact same feeling. It'll either be late, scratched to pieces, or just the normal one. However, my brother insists it'll be here on the 16th. He'll be in tears ;(

Personally, I don't think the CE is really worth it... but hey, tons of people do so whatever. Now, if my gamestop doesn't have my normal version (and yes I could have ordered a CE if I wanted) then there will be hell to pay >_> Hopefully they do something like with the base game and pin your name on the box in the order you pre-ordered... but, it's been a LONG time since i've seen them do that even for high volume games.

Actually, in Finland, they will have Collector's Editions handed out at 16th.

Just need to be there when they open.

Costs 82€, can't afford it myself at the moment, so they are gonna go to somebody else. :P

Out of interest, is there any point in me buying a copy or can i just borrow a friends as i can't imagine what they can do to stop it being installed on multiple computers.
If they have worked out a way to prevent it guess i wont be restarting my WoW career as i can't be sure any of my friends still play so i'm not shelling out £30:00 to have no guild :(

While you could have a friend install it, you couldn't access anything in it because you still need a key code just like with the base game. Each key code is one use and such... so either way you still have to buy it.

O rly? I've installed Wow on 2 different computers, you just don't get a new account when you install it the 2nd time.
#16 Jan 06 2007 at 3:16 PM Rating: Decent
Glad I pre-ordered it last night/early this morning or I wouldn't have been able to.

Hopefully it'll be delivered on the release date, whether the servers will be stable or not. 15 min here or there, is 15 min I won't have to spend on silly stuff like turning in quests/leveling jewelcrafting. =3

No, but you ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT when you install it on the second PC. You can install WoW on as many PCs as you want really... but lets say you install it for a friend, THEY don't have an account yet because the key code that YOU used is, well used and wont work.

Think of TBC as a new account, because that is basically what it is. In order to ACCESS the content you need a key code just like when you first got wow.

Thank god I reserved it in early october with FF12

Edit:I posted in here to check wowsig...

What is the format for it?

Well I have had my copy of TBC reserved for a LONG time now but I really want a copy of the CE... *sigh* I'm just hoping that either someone doesn't pick up a copy at a local store or there are more copies released closer to the release. I'm playing no matter what but I'd still like the CE.

I'll be first in line at the local store ready to pick up my copy. I was going to have it delivered but figured I'd rather not take any chances with some wierd mail thing and the stores only four minutes away... I can't wait!

*whew* Just preordered my CE... I will be safe now...

Well, over here in Norway, I preordered TBC from a scandinavian online store around February 06. I have confirmation mail, and a paid bill to present to my lawyers the day it turns out they won't in fact get enough copies to keep us all happy.
