Does Blizzard Forgive?Follow

#1 Jan 05 2007 at 1:32 PM Rating: Decent
Hello Allakhazam Viewers... I have a Confession.

I use to cheat in WoW.. Not HAck, but Buy gold and plvls.. I know your digusted, and such, but I want to make amends. I took a long break from MMO, and I want to get back into WOW, My old acct was banned, but now I want to start fresh, new. I just want to be a normal player who makes an account, and not get banned because Im the guy who bought gold. I know I deserved the ban, and I agree.. I just want to be a normal player now, and play the game as it suppose to be played. Some of you may think "You shouldnt even be allow to play anymore filthy person" But I just like Wow to much. Can I go out and buy an account without getting banned, using the same adress/name? Thank you for your Tolerance as your read this, and I hope your replies wont burn much. Thanks again.

I posted a link to a topic about someone posting a link to a pre-released screenshot of burning crusade talents on the o-boards saying how it wasn't real and probably a fake.

Blizzard permenantly banned my o-boards account and my IP from said o-boards, and refused to hear any kind of recant or plea against it.

So in short, no.

First let me say I'm glad you have seen the error of your ways. I too have been tempted by the darkside of MMOs in the past, just never been caught. As for your question; yes, I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem to get another account, because a guildie of mine got banned for botting and he has already got another accnt. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not sure if he used the same name, address, etc. But you can at least give it a shot, the worst that can happen is they will tell you no I guess.

Might I suggest buying a new copy of the game. I don't necessarily know what you mean by bubying an account, so if you do decide to play again, buy a new copy and level yourself up.

Buying an account will get you banned, and you will probably get taken by the seller to boot.

Is this part of a 12 step cheaters anonymous program where you apologize to all you have offended? Not flaming you, but, maybe you should be asking Blizzard. In the end, it doesn't really matter what anyone here thinks, it is Blizzard's decision.

Just buy a new copy of the game (inexpensive now), create a different userid, and start over fresh. They banned your account, not your address.

We have 3 accounts at my house. You shouldn't have any trouble.

They probably keep track of credit card numbers though, so just buy time cards and you are golden

You make me sick. Using your real life advantage as a snotty lil rich kid, to get an advantage over some people who maybe dont have (£/$)100 to spend on gold.
Also why would anyone want to spend real money on a GAME, instead of buyin shoes or other stuff that actually matters.

IM not a rich kid. I used my own JOb money and im 16. Im not a stereotypical Rich snotty kid, because I can buy gold, maby i had cash to spend on other things. Please dont judge me that much..

Count this as a learning experience. The gold sellers and scammers make it sound like there is an easy road to success. If this is the worst mistake you make in your teen years, count yourself lucky. Just suck it up, start over with a new account, learn your lesson about cheating (applies to many aspects of life), and come on back in and have fun. Your perspective as a reformed player could give valuable insight to others who are tempted.

Thank you for your kind words. I got an email saying that I am welcome to make another account, but Terms still apply. I will be heading back to the world of azeroth soon, with a new outlook.

Good luck bud. You'll find you'll enjoy the game alot more also if you earn everything you get instead of buy it.
