Anyone ever had that happen to them?

I was waiting for the boat, fishing to pass time. When the boat got there, I tried to backup a little but ended up going forward towards the boat because of a camera problem.

Then the weirdest thing happened, the boat pushed me towards some boxes, or whatever is there and I got kicked out of the game. When I logged back in, I was falling in the infinite sky :p

Apparently, falling for 5 seconds kill you. Release spirit, I expected to end up at the graveyard... more or less! I end up in a graveyard that's -also- falling in the infinite blue sky, so if I revive, I fall and die again. If I don't, well, I still fall in whisp form. I try the unstuck button, nope. After trying a couple time to revive and not liking the hit on my equipment, I decide to place a GM call. While I wait, the sky slowly turns from blue to some sort of creepy dark swirl.

After a while I got bored of waiting and tried to revive a few more times and eventually ended up in a greveyard that's on ground level :p

Does that kind of thing happen often to the rest of you? I'm a bit afraid to get close to the boat now :p

Did the dark swirl look something like this?

I haven't had the same trouble with a boat you did but I did have a "falling through the world" problem when some instances were bugged.

Rate up for an amusing tale. I've had some strange situations with boats, mostly me running on to the edge of the boat and the running on the spot, stuck on the edge of the boat until I change continents or log out (on the Feralas boat).

Thanks ^^

I'm most unlucky with boats. I think they're out to get me :p

For example, whenever I'm on a boat and I try to drown my pet to amuse the bystanders (Eyes of the beast, throw the cat in the ocean, cancel the skill), it almost always crashes the game. Not immediately when I do it, though!

I get to destination safely, then my characters slows down, slows down... and BANG! disconnect :p

Edit: Yes! That's exactly the dark swirly of incoming doom! *hides*

This same thing happened to me after jumping off the cliff in the caverns of time.

One of my friends did it first so I felt I had to experience the same =D

One of my friends got stuck under the boat for the whole ride and then after the map comes up and dots red the plan he fell off and nearly died of fatigue, luckily he was a druid and could swim faster, ten secs more and it would have killed him lol.

Has any Mages tried using Slow Fall and the Parachute Cape for glitching through to the bottom without dying? I wonder what it's like exploring the bottom... *thinks of Halo 2 glitches*

The boat experience sounds weird, but you never know what might happen.
As for the caverns of time fall, I have heard of people using slowfall, and after twenty minutes or some crazy time, you land near darkshore or something like that. I wasn't there, some guys in my guild were doing it.

Ok that never happened to me. I did get stuck in the side of the boat twice. What did happen to me was that i got stuck on the tram after I jumped on when it was moving. I was on top of it and when I finaly got off at the station
i fell under it and started lagging bad.

Now that I remember there was an Instance a while ago in Freewind Post I rushed to get to the Elevator before it descended and I leaped for it!... and got stuck in the middle of the air, this picture should explain it.

I had a similiar boat incident, but instead of getting knocked into space I was embedded into the gunwale of the boat. (It was also some crates or something on the dock.) It pushed me into the boat and damn if I couldn't get out. I tried shapeshifting, mounting, jumping, bashing the keyboard in frustration, you name it. 3 boatrides later I hit the magic combination (hell if I can remember what) and got unstuck.
From that point on, I always wait for the boat to come to come to a complete stop before disembarking, and keep arms and legs inside the perimeter at all times...

I got kicked off a boat once. I was on my way out of Menethil when all of a sudden the boat disappeared and I was treading water, along with a Paladin. We had to swim all the way back (I think it was probably about as far as you can get before fatigue hits) and catch the boat again.

I've also found myself stuck running on the spot just before getting onto the boat, watching it sail away without me before getting free. Very frustrating.
