Ok, the servers are down again in europe(i spend more time waiting to get in or waiting on the server than i do playing lately)...
My pint is, apart from having a tab with wow-europe to check if theyre back up, where dos one find notification or info on *why* the outages are happening? I thought thats why they had the weekly downtime...

*boots up AO in desperation, yes , im that desperate*

Well normally after the occurance has happened, they post something in the "relm status" forum. Its with the tech support forums in the Blizzard section I think.
It normally gets posted after a little while so you still spend some time wondering what the hell is happening.
If of course you are refering to todays mess? then you cant get any info because shortly after they posted on Tech support forums advising people who could not log back in to delete WTF and cache folders, the Web site mysteriously went down. Thus stopping anyone from doing anything at all productive or otherwise on the forums as well.....
Are n't they just wonderful?

To the best of my knowledge there is nowhere to see "why" a server has gone down short of checking the official Technical Support forum for Realm Status although I'm not sure how often information is place there. If multiple realms are effected they will often put a message in the game UI itself.

wow, qiuck reply, just found the URL for the forums(tech support) but they are 503 atm lol...
guess we souldnt mind an occasional outage if they were up front about it...
e.g http://www.wow-europe.com/en/serverstatus/ shows most realms us up
but all other pages 503...
*edit* traced the ping and it stops at prs-tc-i2-link-telia.net [80.91.250.34]
i assume this is the paris end...
*edit 2* gotta love lynx....

We are currently seeing some realms being disconnected from the Cross-Realm Battlegrounds, resulting in Battlegrounds with only players from that realm. We are working to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and our apologies for the inconvenience.

Update 11:25 CET: We have restarted all Cross-Realm Battlegrounds and hope to have solved the issues. We will continue to closely monitor the Cross-Realm Battlegrounds' performance.

so they just plain messed up....

A blue did post on the tech forums on the official site ( when you can get lucky and it loads up).
The reply was they are aware, are looking into it and try delete cache and WTF folders and reboot. Most people all ready did this however and it solves nothing. Odd how soooo many people suddenly have corrupted files at the same moment in time?
I guess if they had to sit down and calculate who could not connect at anyone time and for how long due to their problems and then refund that amount to each person concerned, then they would be sorting out the problems very quickly. It would be a night mare for them.
At the moment if some people cant connect due to problems, its no great worry for them. If people leave they know more will come and replace them. At the moment there is no financial insentive for them to fix things properly.
