Where is a good spot for a Lvl 16 Hunter to farm some Briarthorn. I have been looking on Darkshore but that seems to be almost pointless ... Any help would be appreciated.

QFT.

If you get lucky, there can be TONS of Briarthorn.

A lot of people are used the more heavily read boards, such as the official boards, so if ten minutes pass and nothing has been posted they often think they are being ignored. Posting on slower boards such as this one can be something of a culture shock. *smiles*

Here's another piece of advice for you:

If you look at the column of links on the left...

Go to the Geography area -> Click on Interactive Maps...

From there you can select a zone (Westfall for instance)
Choose what you want to look for in the zone (Herbalism in this case)
and I personally prefer to choose the option for a Large map.

Then do your search.

Here is a sample I did for the options listed above:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mapset.html?zone=2027&type=Herbalism&size=Large

You can use this tool to find the location of lots of useful info (i.e. where certain mob types are located, etc.)

I've found that if you do the Morrowgrain research quest and get un'goro soil and some seeds, 9/10 times you will get a briarthorn (instead of Morrowgrain of course) and you can do it over and over again until you run out of seeds or soil, and it's on a 10 min cool down. So it's a nice supplement to when you're farming for it too.

You might also go to mapwow.com it is a very useful site for both herbs and ores.

There seems to be plenty of briarthorn in the Barrens which isn't that hard to get to if you're not on a PVP server. It's easier to spot there too since it almost always spawns near the bases of trees and the trees in the Barrens are few and far between.

Westfall isn't bad but it is so overcrowded (whenever I seem to go there) that you have to practically fight other players to get to harvest the herbs and ore there.
