Well, I can't just use this new toy without telling you about it, can I?

CASE/MOTHERBOARD/POWER SUPPLY: Shuttle XPC SN27P2 - This thing is absolutely beautiful, and I am loving it. I intend to take it places, half the reason I got this is so I can go to LAN parties more easily and take it to my dad's when I'm there for a week.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6GHz - Yum, fast dual core. Multitasking is good.

MONITOR: ViewSonic 19" Widescreen LCD - For the quality you get with this, you can't beat that price. Pretty nice.

VIDEO CARD: RADEON X1900 XTX - Normally I would not have spent this much on a video card, but this was on sale at my local CompUSA (which was closing, thus the huge markdown) for less than even Newegg prices. I can't wait to get Oblivion up and running with this.

HARD DRIVE: 2x Western Digital Caviar SATA 7200RPM 320GB - Mmmm... disk space. I plan to go on a huge RIAA-defying illegal download spree. Yay!

MEMORY: XMS Corsair 2GB DDR2 - Good size and speed, and that $40 rebate is juicy.

The rest of it is practically arbitrary and is altogether unnecessary.

Altogether, I spent about $1200 on this baby. Having recently turned 16, this is something of a feat for me. I've been saving up for well over a year, and it feels great to finally have it sitting in front of me. Not to mention that building it myself gives that extra bit of joy to finally getting it up and running. Here's to many months of joyful gaming, and a hopefully prosperous continuing career in WoW!

EDIT: Fixed the links, added CPU info.

I have used a shuttle before and i just really didnt like the design of it. Each to their own though, the actual technical side is nice. And being able to take it with you is cool.

So would I, but there weren't any Shuttle cases available that would support it. :(
