Not counting in the ability to buy their mounts, no.

At least not to my knowledge.

Just to back that up, i havent heard of anything either. It was purely just to get their mounts...although im not totally sure thats worth it. Its some hard graft just to buy a mount.

Didn't quite understand the last question, but I assume it's related to how hard it is to get to exalted. Assuming you're around Honored - you'll need 33K rep, which is 660 turn-ins. Runecloth can be caught around 1.20-1.50 gold. I managed to buy all my RC at 1.2 or less, takes time and patience. So basically - you spend 800something gold to ride a mount which is just the same as the one you already have, but different model.

It's something bored raiders do while waiting for expansion really :)

If it is gaining rep, you can try playing AV.

Gather all the flesh, blood and armor scraps and do the turn ins to your faction. I easily raised my faction with the Horde with that.

now you can also do low-level quests. since 2.0, i seem to be getting full rep for doing low-level quests. this also means getting spill-over. i was doing the new (level 25-30) quests in ashenvale and got 275-365 darnassus rep a pop. plus some sw, if, gnome and exodar rep.

I tried doing the low level quests yesterday and turned in a lvl 30 quest in Ashenvale and got a whole whopping 11 reputation gain. Not sure if Darnassus just doesn't like me or what, but it's not working for me.

Ottilio, you may have just done a quest that didn't gain much Darnassus rep. I posted a thread recently about my 60 Hunter, who has been doing the quests in Auberdine and Ashenvale, usually getting 150-250 rep each quest. mind you, not all quests give rep, but the vast majority do. Heck, a few days ago, I even did some of the Aldrassil (NE starter area) quests, and got rep for killing level 1-5 mobs. It was almost embarassing- I could kill them by right-clicking on them and running close without stopping. Kill several mobs, go back and loot them all, get the quest items and turn them in- in under 5 min. Smiley: laugh

I made sure I did it when there weren't low-level characters around, so I didn't inconvenience them.

Yeah, I just did them same with my Human Warlock. I actually started doing the Night Elf zone quests (starting with the simple level 1 starting zone quests) and burned all the way through the Ashenvale quests. I don't have exact numbers but I managed to churn out close to 18,000 rep in a weekend and it didn't cost me anything but some game time. Got my kittie mount after that.

Honestly, no... there is no point to the main faction rep grind short of getting the mount, but if you're bored like many people... it's something to do.
