Reputation GainFollow

I just made a new N-elf alt and was going through the starter quests and I found that I was gaining Reputation with Darnassus alot faster then I ever remember gaining Reputation. In fact by the time I was hit lvl 8 I was Honored with Darnassus.

So am I crazy or did the last patch(patches) change Reputation gain that much? Or is that normal Reputation gain?

I know you get full Reputation from all quests no matter what your lvl now, but how did it work before the patch? When did you start loosing Reputation during quest turn ins. When the quest was green?
