I agree with you Maz.

I only rate if someone uses two or more swear words in a post (assuming the one they used wasn't something absolutely horible) or they are being ignorant/cruel.)

I will correct false information. You only get rated down once you degrade the boards.

This thread is too funny. But I don't really agree with your reasonings to start a thread on these boards, Mazra, because I'm actually tired of seeing threads that criticize the boards, the posters, the bad titles, all of it.

It's never going to change. You might make a dent, but this is the internet and you cannot control this wild beast. Sometimes it seems that the morons out number the rest of us. So in short, it's the threads like these that just add more clutter to the quality of this board. Honestly, what is there 3 or more threads just commenting on low title quality, over all post quality (or lack thereof)? and now this one.

Anyway, now that I've expressed my opinion on THAT matter, I pretty much agree with your 'list' of people.

Including metaljeff. I think I have rated down every single one of his posts. Nothing personal metaljeff, but you're posts are arrogant and crude, for the most part. Feel free to comment on this, but I don't care - it is nothing more than a rate down, just leave it at that, mmkay? As soon as I see you offering something to this community, I'll rate you up.

Oh and 0Wondroustremor, I 100% agree with you. On everything INCLUDING the fact that Mike should be at LEAST a sage. That old timer is CONSTANTLY helping new posters out and not just by reciting his FAQ where it applies, but by also giving specific answers to specific questions. I try to rate him up whenever I can (or think about it).

I'm not rating down ALL your posts, MetalJeff. I'm only doing what I was told to do: Rate down instead of trying to change things. If you're being an idiot towards me or other posters then yes, I rate you down. But I'm not rating your good posts down.

They're kinda hard to find!

Well, I haven't been to the Hunter forums today. Heck, I don't think I've been there since Christmas.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever rated anyone down, and I only rate people up when someone else mentions ratings and I remember that this forum has a different karma system.

<small>I'm not trying to toot my horn, sorry if it comes out like that.</small>
BTW, how do you make that small? ^

The tag for small is [sm].

Alternatively, mark the text and click the "Small" button. Smiley: grin

MetalJeff, I have a question for you. How do you know that mazra is the one rating down all your posts? I have been on these boards for a few years now and have never seen a way to tell who has rated anyone up or down. Most of the time ratings come from people such as myself who sit in the background. If I see someone being helpful, or at least trying to be, I rate them up. If someone is being rude or disrespectful for no reason, I rate them down. Basically, if you’re going to complain about something, make a valid point. But before you get upset, I have not touched any of your ratings in this thread, nor any other post as far as I can remember. I knew this thread was going to turn into a whine fest and figured I would just let it go. If you feel your being rated down unfairly or being camped by someone then contact an admin and they will step in.

I don't agree with Mazra calling out specific people like he did but pretty much every one of your posts in this thread has been vulgar, crude and/or arrogant. Not to mention the fact that they have been nothing but mindless dribble and have done nothing to dispute Mazras original claim about you having nothing to offer. Basically, all you have done is proven his point. Going off your post count, I would say you are somewhat new to the boards. Try showing a little humility and respect to the people who have put their time into Allas to make it what it is, you might get a little better welcome next time.

Here's the truth: If you've been downrated to sub-default, it's not just one person who objects to your posts. Being down-rated to oblivion by a single karma camper is close to impossible, but if that happens, there is recourse. You can always go to the Feedback forum and ask if you're being karma camped (with the possibility of getting it reversed), or you can pm an administrator for the same information.

However, the chances of it being a single person are not large. Low ratings really mean that you are doing something wrong, and that perhaps it's time to go through your posts and try to divine what it is that makes those particular posts poor to the eyes of the general public.

To tell the truth, I'd rather have the karma system than a fully moderated forum. A moderated forum means that we post and get moved, removed, or locked at the whim of a single person.

In the For The Horde forums we have it really bad. gagnsta is one major recurring problem, with 300+ posts, he is just a troll that won't quit no matter how many times we rate him down. His posts continually are stereotypical and obscene. There is no good reason to ban, I wish there was though. No to mention, there are so many people that post anti-Alliance crap, since when was stirring up For The Horde feelings caused by anti-Alliance garbage?

I dont know if this was stated but to those that arent on the list and should- let this be a warning to you too! I have seen more then a handful of vulger and racist topics that were gone not as punsihed as i'd like, but sooner or later you will be shot down by Mazra or otherwise!

I love how you contradict yourself with these highly "on-topic" posts. IMO you should probably add yourself to your list in the 1st post.

All those posts from Jeff that were quoted look pretty typical to me. Yes, I agree that they were unhelpful/unnecessary, so rate them down and move on. I didn't realize that achieving a 10k post rating gave you the right to tell other posters what they can and can't post. Everyone on these forums is guilty of posting random off-topic crap. Not to mention, with 12k+ posts, you're probably more guilty of this than most.

I think most of this subject has been covered, so allow me to interject with a non-sequitur.

Mazra, I like all the color coding that you have used lately in your OP's and demand more of it.

Hrm...looks like someone's camping Mazra now. I can definitely understand the point of the ratedowns for the first two posts, and those I didn't fix, but a ratedown for explaining the small tag?

Jeez people.

Calm yourselves.

Those ratedowns are ruining any reasonable argument you had going here.

Unless you're name is gagsnta. I learned really quickly that it only takes *ONE* rate down to bring him to sub-default :).
