who list - who isn't!Follow

#1 Jan 03 2007 at 3:35 AM Rating: Decent
I'm playing on Stormreaver (PVP) with a new lvl 9 Troll Mage, but looking in the Social/who list I only see 49 users - I have some friends onlinw at the time, but I can't see them and they can't see me (on the same who list ). Is there a reason?

The maximum number of players that /who will show is 49 and as far as i can tell the 49 that it returns are chosen at random. The best way to check if someone is online is to be more specific

eg

/who SWM

will return any charecters called SWM

/who 1

will return any level 1 charecters

/who Ironforge

will return any charceters in Ironforge

/who Ironforge 39

will return and charceters in Ironforge that are level 39

You get the general idea I hope

if you want to keep track of your buddies, add their names to your friends list. you will then see where they are and when the log on/off.

You can also type in, say 1-10 and it'll show up to 49 people between levels 1 and 10 (inclusive).

There is also /who Guild Name, which returns a list of members of a guild that are online. I used it a few days ago to report a begger to the highest level guild member online (I hope it was the guild master).

You can actually add in more specific search terms, since if you're looking for a two-word guild name, like;

Azure Knights

doinng /who Azure Knights would look for anyone in the guild Azure named "Knights". You can instead do;

/who g-"Azure Knights"

and it will return everyone in the guild Azure Knights. There's also the n- (Name), z- (Zone) and there's a level one as well but I can't remember the code for it.

Level is l-"<number>", IIRC.
