OT: Scared.Follow

Apparently this is a big month. I'm headed back to Ohio on MLK weekend to introduce my girlfriend to my folks. I met her parents several months ago, thank goodness. Her dad is a professor in robotics which is unassailably cool (he had an autonomous car that made it to the third round of the DOD's big race a few years back; didn't make it to the big final race, but round 3 isn't bad at all) so talking to him was easy and fairly intellectual.

So, in effect, this could mean 3 weddings sometime in the future, am I right? :P

Everybody from here better be invited. ^.~

Here's a tip, first are you 21?
If so, bring some nice wine to dinner.

If you are not, you cant go wrong with bringing flowers. Impress the mother, and you will win your way to the fathers heart as well.

Candy is good too.

Also keep your mouth shut, listen to what they are saying, and try to stay On-Topic. Dont feel hurt if dad stares at you or gives you harsh tone, like I said be polite. Call her mother by MRS. lastname and depending on how bad the father is do the same (MR. of course).

I know a lot of these tips are very common, but when you are put on the spot its gonna be rough, just a heads up and reminder. If i think of more, I will let you know.
