Why can't my Dwarf be a mage? (misleading manuel)Follow

I hold only one grudge against Blizzard. And that’s their removal of dwarven mages. Two years later and I still point it out to them any chance I get. One of the last times I contacted a GM in game and he asked if there was anything else he could do for me, I ask him if he could give me my dwarven mage back. For some reason I don’t think he took me seriously.

I played a dwarven mage in both open betas. It was the race/class I had chose for my main character when I bought the game. But Blizzard removed dwarven mages before the game went live. I tried playing a gnome fire mage, but after plodding through 40 levels I completely lost interest in him. It just wasn’t the same. I’m going to try a draenei ice mage. Hopefully a blue demonic mage will be different enough from a dwarf mage that I won’t mope nostalgic when I play him.

i agree they should send some sort of email though to tell you some of the changes if nothing else than just to be polite for buying their guide.

They're called patch notes and they are made very public to everyone as changes to the game are made. In fact... they are included with each patch and are displayed to you as the patch occurs.

The amount of intelligence you have does actually increase the rate of which you gain weapon skill-ups.

If you, as a melee and non-mana user, hover your mouse over the attribute in your character pane, it says so.

Ah yeah, I'm aware of that. My point is that the author has left the brackets and question mark in, as s/he was unsure at one point if this was true. Then they forgot to remove it.

Careless author person, tsk tsk.
