Why can't my Dwarf be a mage? (misleading manuel)Follow

I saw in the manuel that you can be a Dwarf mage but I can't make one in the game. Stupid Blizzard.

Sure its not a gnome?

In my WoW packet that I bought like 2-3 weeks ago says that Dwarf can be Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Paladin, Priest, and Warrior. Yet in the game only Humans and Gnomes can be mages. This makes me a sad panda =(

I read the manual and it doesn't say that in mine O.o

Maybe you got a wierd version with a typo? They do change them as the game changes to keep it easy for beginners.

Dwarf Mages existed early on in closed beta. However, they were removed after a short while. Not sure what "packet" you got but it most be old as sin.

The packet I'm talking about is the one that comes with the game, the user manuel.

He's saying you must have an old box of the game. See if it says Kodo's are eonly ridable by tauren.

Yeah, the manual that comes with the game is notoriously out-dated. It talks about things like learning to speak other languages, and casting Holy spells to gain Holy spell skill, for example.

Just took a look through mine, didn't know DK's were originally to make you lose "rep" with your faction cities and have them try and kill you.

When I bought the game it was about 6 months after release and the manual was incredibly outdated. I'm wondering if they ever updated it or are current copies of the game still being distributed with obsolete information.

That manuel is probably the oldest ones in the world. I'll take it though =D

Every time Blizzard does a major patch update the original game manual becomes more and more out-dated and the information has a higher chance to be incorrect. Mine also says that Dwarves can be Mages and a lot of other things that aren't true. It'll probably be really fun to go back and read in two years.

I think you should mail all your game gold to me in protest! Bad Blizzard! Shame on Blizzard!

Oh in case you haven't heard yet, Plainstriding no longer exists for Taurens either.

I just want to know who this Manuel is, and why he's misleading people!

It all happened after he changed his name to Manuelita...

It actually looks as if the person/people that was writing the manual stuck some temporary notes in and forgot to take them out again.

For example, after the explanation of Intelligence, there's a note that says something like "(also increases skill ups?)".

Is funny.

Manuel prefers to be called Macky.

My beta character was a Dwarf Mage. That's why people use sites like this and not written guide books. We update.

i agree they should send some sort of email though to tell you some of the changes if nothing else than just to be polite for buying their guide.

The amount of intelligence you have does actually increase the rate of which you gain weapon skill-ups.

If you, as a melee and non-mana user, hover your mouse over the attribute in your character pane, it says so.

I spent an hour trying to figure out where to train my druid to use a spear because of that damn manual. Then I found this site!

I work in a game store, and the manuel hasnt been updated since launch. I imagine though, when the TBC + WOW pack eventually comes out, then it will be changed.

Untill then, I want my speal wielding, plainstriding druid!

Also BFD is shown in the manual map at the north tip of darkshore rather than its current position in Ashenvale. If you go and investigate you can actually see where it used to be.
