Ive been away from the game for a year, will my character still be on my account?
i also cant find my wow cds but have my username/pass. can i just use somebody else's cds to install the game?
and lastly, are all wow cds mac compatable or do i need special ones?

Yep, the CD-keys are used to create the account, not to install the game, so using different CDs to install and logging in with your already created Username and Password will work.
