I might be alone here....but I feel like I'm missing out on part of the WoW experience with the new TBC expansion.
I have only been playing WoW for a few months and I was instantly addicted...My first MMORPG. I have one Character...a lvl 58 Human PvP Mage. And I was looking forward to hitting 60 then going through Dungeons and Raids to get my Gear up. But now with the PvP equipment you can get it's better than most of the dungeon sets and even when I get those they will be inferior to the gear available in TBC.
It just seems like part of the fun of getting to 60 was to be top dog for a while and all the the while getting stronger items, getting to run around on your Epic mount and have people come up and Inspect your character and marvel at the cool gear you worked so hard for.
I guess it's that I was going to be relieved at 60...not having to worry about how much exp I got from a quest and how close I was to the next lvl...I don't know how many nights I stayed up too late because I was close to leveling...but just to play the game explore and be a bad *** for a while. But now once I reach 60 I'll have a couple of weeks to enjoy it...then right back to the grind to get to 70.
Don't get me wrong i think an expansion is great for people who have a beloved 60 character that they can't really take any higher and want more out of it. it just feels like some of the dungeons and raids are pointless now seeing as how you would only go for rare drops that may still be just as rare but no where near as valuable in a couple weeks.
I've already given up on getting My last couple Magister set items, let alone trying to upgrade them. Which most of the fun of the journey is the getting there not the destination. But the destination is now pointless seeing as you'd have better use of your time going for PvP or TBC items.
Anyway....that's my rant....feel free to flame as you feel fit. ;-)
