EVERYONE NEW TO WoW READ THISFollow

Congratulations and thank you for your choice in World of Warcraft. I, as well as my fellow Alla-members welcome you to the boards, as well as your hopefully benefitial posts to the community.

I wanted to take a quick sidestep to make this because the holidays are coming to an end. Many PC/Mac users out there have received their brilliant goldish brown box containing installation CD's Authorization keys, and trials for their friends.

It is understandable that you are excited about joining in the revelry, and can't wait to start leveling, creating great characters, and having enjoyable experiences. Here at the boards we like to be a little regimented with posts.

FAQ New to WoW & boards

There is a massive amount of information here, leveling, instances, classes, builds, items etc. The only stipulation is that you may have to do a small amount of digging. You also may have to take a little time getting used to the site format, and how to find the information you are looking for.

It happens every so often, however I wanted to make this post since the holiday has just passed and there is bound to be an influx in new players.

Take your time, read up, and have fun.

Where should I go to level?
Allakhazam's "Zone by Level" chart would be the first place to check. This chart gives you the reccomended level for zones, both for Horde and Alliance.

I have a question about X class...
Check the forum dedicated to that class. Odds are, your question has been covered and there will be a thread to answer your question.

Most of the information you will be looking for now and in the future will be accessed through the sidebar on the left, so take the time to aquaint yourself with it. That sidebar is your gateway to all the information you seek/
