the only way you can cheat getting gold would be to buy it from gold selling sites. At least I think that is what you're asking.

Yes, people cheat in this MMO, like most other MMO's on the market. They buy the money, or buy the characters, or pay to have their character leveled for them.
However your experience within World of Warcraft will have no side effects from these cheaters. You might see wispers from a gold seller to buy gold, or run across automated players grinding in an area.. but this will have little effect in your overall game play.

If you buy gold for real money, you can be banned.
If you use exploits and cheats, you can be banned.
If you use an external program to "bot", you can be banned.
If you scam gold from other players, you can be banned.
If you come across an exploit that can be used to duplicate gold or objects and use it, you can be banned.
There are other things that you can do to get banned as well. You should thoroughly read the Terms of Use to find out more information.
"banned" means banned from the game and not being able to play or create another account using the same billing information.
So why do you want to know? Are you planning on cheating, or do you just want to find out whether cheating affects game play?

I'd be more incline to think of "fresher" as "newbie", as in "fresh player".
The OP's family name appears to be Hu, given name Liu -- although the order may have been reversed if they are studying overseas. Given the name, sentence structure and word choice, OP is probably a non-native speaker used to Chinese. I could, of course, be wrong.
Based on my students' usage I would say the question is:
I am fresh (new to/inexperienced) and don't want to get in trouble by not knowing something. [Implied - would you please warn me if there are things that are not permitted.]
