There is something I just don't understand.Follow

Why do the Horde seem to think that they are the superior faction in WoW? Why do they think they are so much more mature and literate than the Alliance? I have played both sides, and both have their fair share of idiocy, immaturity, and ridiculous crap. No, you are not the "mature faction". I have plenty of friends (we are all currently Alliance players) that are in their twenties/thirties, with families, jobs, and a head on their shoulders. And funny, I know a couple of Hordies from my last workplace that were the biggest idiots I've ever met.

Stop acting like you're God's gift to Warcraft. We're all just people at the end of the day.

(I guess I should put a disclaimer that this is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek reply, you know, as in humorous?)

It used to be because they won in PvP all the time. Now there are so many Alliance coming to the Horde to be on the winning team that its dragging the faction down.

I haven't noticed any Horde claiming to be more mature or literate. I would tend to say they aren't. If I want maturity and literacy, I would join Mensa or Toastmaster's. I want to experience the joy of wanton destruction, so I play Warcraft.

Me, too! I don't like dealing with the refuse of humanity you meet everywhere. I was very successful in PvP on the Alliance, but I wanted to win battlegrounds, so I played Horde instead. Still got top kills, but I also got the victory honor.

That's why the Alliance loses--they refuse to sacrifice their families and jobs, clinging to social norms of responsibility. That's good for maintaining civilization and social order. Bad for living in a fantasy alternate reality.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But they win in battlegrounds...

No, at the end of the day I get to play Warcraft as an undead, orc, troll or tauran. The ones who are just people are on the alliance side. We own them because we are gifted in Warcraft!

Pretty lol, I'd nod to each of Addicted's responses, even thought I don't really believe too much of it.

As it is I started playing Wow in a pirate server, I daddled with the idea of becoming a night elf but after seeing their dance animation I pushed the idea aside, forever.
So I immediately turned over to the horde, with their honorable and strong-willed taurens and orcs their savage tribal trolls and, oh yes, the insidious forsaken, they had SO much more charisma every alliance race seemed like a stick figure to me.
So I started an undead warlock, I made many acquaintances and through language not functioning learnt most allies there where a bunch of ******** pricks, that's where I developed my distaste for most alliance players in general.

Pirate server was ****** but I like Wow so I decided to buy the game, and there was absolutely no questioning I was going to roll my beautiful undead warlock again oh yes, and I love her (it) ^_^
I haven't yet seen any hordies claiming they are oh so mature or whatever in comparison to alliance, just less ******* maybe (alliance never go alone to the bathroom, or ANYWHERE for that matter, in spanish servers). I just think at least a good amount of horde players will share my view of the game and such, and will not be (yawn) human protectors of justice and such ****, which I find stupid and boring (both humans and protectors xD)

Just because one person acts like moron doesn't mean that the whole faction is composed of morons. Same goes for what you are saying... just because a few people seem to think that they are God's gift to wowcraft... 1. doesn't mean that they are AND 2. doesn't mean that the whole faction thinks that way.

That's nice. Good job. I know plenty of horde who are married, 30s, children, ect, ect. Just because you have that doesn't mean your whole faction does. And it doesn't make you better than the horde either.

[>.> I have this feeling that you're just making all your points invalid and that I'm wasting my time replying to this.]

Again, that is them. It doesn't mean you can classify the whole horde faction as idiots.

Yet, it seems that this is your attitude in your post.

You really can't blame people for doing that in a game. Society does it everyday in real life.... ever watch the news?

But it is something that does need to be acknowledge. Yes, generalizing happens, but just because something applies to one person doesn't mean that it applies to all.

Really? Can I see any evidence for this claim? Because for now it looks only like huge pile of BS.

You misunderstood me. I don't think Alliance is any better than the Horde, and I am not referring to the Horde as a whole here. This post is directed to those who think like this. I'm not retarded enough to think that every Horde member thinks like this. That would make me a hypocrite and contradictive. And I didn't classify all Horde as idiots, I'm just saying stupid Horde do exist. As do abysmally stupid Alliance. Like I said, we're all people.

Wow, you've got the ********* attitude I've seen on here yet. If you don't have anything decent to say why not try and stfu? Oh wait, trolling people makes you look "cool" and "witty". Keep it up, sparky, you're doing great! +10 Interweb Awesumnezz 4 U!

I refuse to believe your statement. I'm not a person... I'M UNDEAD!!

(I'm just having fun to cheer up my crappy day. UGH! More info on the "What's the worst thing that's happened to your money?" thread. Please read it if you have a chance. ...I feel like such a noob...)

In WoW, factions are opposing sides. You cannot expect a person on one side to say that they are less mature and more idiotic than the other faction, so don't get annoyed when they don't. Some people are idiots, some arn't, but why would a person WANT to admit they are inferior to others?

Edit: Found this great quote by Ishamel that should answer your question.

Quote:
The horde and the alliance both have thier fair share of immature players. The sides are even. You can't justify an entire faction based on your own experiances, or even the experiances of your entire server. This game is hugely popular, there are going to be idiots everywhere you go. All you can do is get over it and keep playing, and not let them ruin your fun.

Bah, I got confused while writing this post... All I have to really say is that I agree with AddictedFanatic, and that faction generalization is unjust and stupid.

the only problem i have with the alliance is the look and i was forced to level to 60 just cause i had a rl friend to join..... the only reason i dont too much in particular like the horde cause they think they are SOOOOOOOOO much better than the alliance that it gets annoying after hearing I PWNZERS TEH ALLIANCE for the 79374593257 time. However i do find the hord like to have fun even tho their isnt that much of them.

::sigh::

wtb level 60 on my 32 orc....60 humans are borind and the animations are boring as well

The reason I feel that Horde has the reputation of being more mature is because generally the "good guy" factions attract younger people. So in general, the Horde tends to be filled with older (not neccesarily more mature) people. If you've ever played SWG, then you'll remember that there were a lot more whiny Rebels than Imperials. Kids are attracted to cutsy-type characters and being on the "good" side. This isn't just a WoW or SWG thing...same thing happened in EQ. Again..just a generalization here, but they do hold some weight.
