Your message has met the filter designed to stop ultimately silly messages, hit the back button to edit it and repost.
Reason: You had some bad content in your message

I just tried to post a detailed reply to a question someone asked. And when I hit preview I get the above message!

There is nothing “silly” or “bad” in that post. Nothing. There isn’t even the hint of bad language. What the heck is wrong with this filter? I’ve never seen it before. And I’m a bit frustrated that fifteen minutes of typing and editing to try to help someone new to the game is being blocked for no reason.

I got it too, I started a new thread about something and clicked preview and it gave me that, then I hit the back button on the browser and my whole post was gone, I was sad, but will type it again when I get home from work.

It's obvious, you just need to stop being so silly.

It's, most likely, because your post contained a "bad word". Like m0nk item or d3su or whatever.

It's pretty silly they're still using those filters. Like pedophilia being filtered? The one who caused the filter to be inserted in the first place hasn't been posting for, what, a year?

Too bad it doesn't specify what part of your message caused the filter to trigger. Then you could go about modifying that part, or remember to never use that again.

I got a similar message last week when I tried to put the words "Domo" and "Loot" together in order to describe how we were screwed by a server crash.

That would be nice; especially considering it was one of my infamous page long posts. *grins* I have no hope of figuring out what the filter didn’t like.

I guess that poor new player will just have to suffer the rest of his WoW life without my words of infinite wisdom. *heavy theatrical sigh*

I was putting together a huge post in my journal and hit the filter. I didn't want to lose any of it so I picked through the whole thing and came up with the word "loot" causing the problems.

'Loot' alone wouldn't hit the filter. Maybe what went with it. I don't actually know what all gets filtered, but most of the time I've hit it, it's been with the phrase "monk" "item".

That's entirely possible. I was doing it by line and then by word, only removing one word at a time. Unfortunately, I don't recall where exactly in my journal thread it was, I was just trying to transfer the thread from the o-boards.

Is hunter weapon filtered? That's pretty much the same thing as an item intended for a monk as I recall.

Once I was annoyed at a goldseller, and I posted something like a string of insults separated by dashes, such as stupid-moronic-etc-etc and it got over a hundred characters long... Met the filter then.
Same thing seemed to happen with slashes, stupid/moronic/etc/etc/

Did you have any overly large strings in your post?

I believe a post consisting of only an emote trips the filter as well.
