Got Frustration?Follow

Anyone else getting frustrated by the overall lack of raiding as of late? Is this a problem in other servers? I'm on the Thorium Brotherhood and at least from what I've seen raiding has become fairly limited.

I'm sure this is due in some part to people waiting for the expansion and not wanting to put forth the effort, time and money but at least for me, I still want to raid but am finding it increasingly difficult.

My guild can't even get 20 together on any consistent basis to partner into MC or Ony.. Frustrating!

I know for me personally I worked my way up to 60 and was seriously looking forward to running the higher end raids and seeing the "end game" content. Now that I'm here, got my attunements and geared up enough to start working my way into these runs (my 0 and .5 gear) everyone's stopped and I fear that once the expansion comes it'll only get worse and I'll not be able to get into these instances until much later... and then it won't be quite the same challenge it is today.

Basically it's unfortunate timing on my part and I hope I'll get into these runs. Anyone else in this boat?

These raids do not produce the interest at this time for two reasons. You can now get HWL quality gear much faster than raiding (and waiting your turn on the drops) 40 man's that reset on a weekly basis.

The other reason is that you can easily begin to replace MC quality gear in the first couple instances in Outlands. These instances can be run at level 60 to 61 and maybe even lower.

40 man instances are a huge pain logistically for the gear that you get out of them so I am not suprised that people are ditching them untill they can decide what if any of the gear will still be worth while. It is commonly thought at this time that anything pre Naxx and excepting Ony just won't be worth it once you've leveled to 70.

Unfortunately, in the grand scheme of things you chose a bad time to be ready to play @ 60. The current end-game is in disarray because the current patch basically paved the road for The Burning Crusade.

The current game (I.e. easy access to formerly nigh-impossible-to-attain PvP epics) is geared towards a L70 end-game, not a L60 end-game... but of course we're still stuck @ 60.

I hear what you're saying and agree... the BG's have now been the main draw as of late.. and I certainly realize that the gear's going to be replaced rather quickly once the expansion hits.

I guess I'm more of a content person. I took my time getting to 60, tried to see as much of the world and instance content as possible and now I guess it just bums me out a bit that this content will be left unseen. I know I'll move on to the Outlands as soon as I can just like everyone else and just see that when I come back to do BWL, Ony and Naxx, the challenge won't be as significant.

Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe the challenge will be offset by running it with a lower number of 70's.. I'm not sure. Basically I'm just lamenting the loss of content and the fact that I never made it into these instances pre-expansion.

You chose a wrong moment. And you probably CAN see the old instances, when you're level 70, and things won't be the same.

However, keep in mind that these instances will not become a walk through the park, especially the later bosses in AQ40 and nearly all the bosses in Naxx. Tactics, and not pure stats/gear, is the most important factor in these instances. If you run into the Twins or Anub'Rekhan as a group of 40 lvl 70ers with full Tier4 without working exactly following the tactics, you'll wipe just as hard as you would on level 60.
