what good is clicking or right clicking on the minimap?
i know a beacon or whatever pops up but its gone after like 5 secs...
can anyone else see it like if your in a party?
they should make it so your target can see it and like a beam of light shoot up from where you put it so ppl will know that over here means OVER HERE

Shows the icon on the minimap to everyone in your party (and possibly raid) as well as plays a unique sound. Useful for describing in a dungeon where you are headed and where monsters are without being able to see them.
yesp arty members can see it, raid also and possibly BG members.

Yeah, it's not used very often, but it does have it's uses.
Useful when you've died and someone is having trouble finding you to res. Also useful in some boss fights (i.e. Ossirian in AQ20) where the entire raid needs to be following someone and needs to know where they're heading.
It can also be used during raids to drive everyone absolutely crazy because a half dozen or so people start randomly clicking all over the minimap!

I use it in BG to ID the Flag location when I spot the carrier with Track Humanoids.
