First of all, Welcome to the game, hope you enjoy your stay.

Leveling in general, IMO, is fastest when you just kill everything green and up, wherever you go, and do quests while at it.

Making money, hmm, depends about your server. But if I were you, I would learn to use Auction House ASAP. By keeping eye on that sells good and fast, you can try to get your hands on that. Auction House is by far the fastest/best way to get gold in WoW.

Guild, I wouldn't worry too much about it. But if you meet nice person and you see they are in a guild, you could maybe ask if you could join their guild. (Incase you don't know, guilds show in <guilds name> under players name)

Like I said, enjoy the game.! :))

Suggestions,
HMM yes i will go gentle.

Just keep on plugging along, at level 7 with your first character there is no need to rush into money. Learn how to play the game, learn how to group as a warrior, and all of the items you need will come from grouping for the most part.

As far as skills go, go to the trade skills stickey and read over it. It will answer every last question you will need.

Guilds, do yourself the favor and dont rush into a guild unless these people offer something that is helpful to you.
You are better off waiting till you get a few levels up to join one.

i am having real trouble with making money any sugestions?
- Fishing
- Mining or Herbalism (I prefer mining)
- Skinning

You can sell the materials that you get on the auction house and make some good money. I can sell a stack of copper bars (the first things you get with mining) for about 1 gold.

also how do i aquire the second skill?
- Just talk to the respective trainer that you wish to learn from.

what is the quickest way to get to level 10?
- Quests and killing things. If you can combine the two even better!
- Level 10 is nothing really, wait til you are in the 40s working on getting to 50, that went the slowest for me.

how do i find a guild?
- you can either say 'looking for guild' in general chat or just while you are out leveling, if you find a good partner to level with and if they are in a guild see if you can get an invite.

Enjoy the online sensation!

The above advice is very good, but I'd like to add that speculating on the Auction House works very well, especially for my young sons it seems! One, in particular, is constantly studying the market, noting what currently sells well and wheeling and dealing :D He's been playing a couple of months and mines for ore, and sells either the ore or the smelted variety, whichever sells best. He buys ore that is at silly low prices, and sells it on, too, and it's an unusual night where he doesn't make 10 gold or more. I reckon he's learnt more about basic economics in WoW than he ever will in school...

I just started a warrior dwarf and hit 9 last night. Here's a recap of my impressions:

Warriors need gear. At the beginning it can easily be a money sink (and reports have it that nothing changes as you go up). Rushing to hit level as quickly as possible will over extend you.

Bags - try to avoid buying them. Every starting area has a few mobs that will drop them if you are patient and kill enough.

Armor - use the tool tips to compare your gear to what you find. Some things look very similar, but may have different values. As with bags, it may be tempting to buy better gear as you go up, but quests and mobs will keep you well supplied without draining your cash so quickly.

Repairs and resale - I haven't checked the math, but my general impression has been that when you go to sell your old stuff, the value of repaired armor (at full armor rating) is higher than the cost of the repair. That is -- repair stuff before you sell it off, it seems to be worth the investment. I could be dead wrong, as I said, I haven't crunched the numbers.

Weapons - bigger may not be better. Pay attention to dps rather than just max damage for your weapon.

Buying stuff in general - Try not to. You go through the low levels quickly. That thing which seems like a must have item now is apt to be old news once you hit a new area. In particular, look up the quests using the quest list this site offers. That will let you know what things you can plan on getting as rewards. Why buy something, only to discover that the next quest you get offers as good an item?

Selling your junk - Load up those bags and sell. At low levels, even a stack of dried meat is better than an empty slot. The small change adds up, and at least balances things like repair costs. Pay attention to which things drop from various mobs; you should also pay attention to which things stack (10 water is 10 copper, but 1 belt/pair of gloves may only be worth 2 copper) so that you can maximize your haul per bag. For example, which one dropped that cloth, and which one dropped that tusk or that poison that sold for half a silver or more? Now, go whack a few more of those and be patient -- it may take a few tries, but more will drop. Try going back to the start area and loading up on some of the stuff the boars, spiders and humanoids drop. Build up some money for training by killing stuff quickly, then move out to where you can get more experience for your kills.

Quests -- Starting quests are there to steer you through the process of starting your character. They give you better gear and money, often for little more than going to a particular area or killing a load of things you probably should have been killing anyway.

Save your money for later -- Remember to budget training expenses. That includes your class and trade, plus the cost of new skills in the trade. Gathering skills are not exciting, but stacks of leather or herbs keep the money coming in. Things like tailoring may seem more intersting, but they can be one more thing draining your money as you start.

Good luck!

complete quests. kill everything on the way to the quest area, and kill everything on the way back.

Usually there are guilds adverising on the General channel in major cities, or you could go to the official forums and look at your server's forum to see if anyone is advertising.

When I started a character on a different server, I couldn't mail him money or items to help him out. So, what I did was do quests until I had enough silver to buy profession training and ran to the main city to buy it and to visit the Auction house and buy a few 8-slot bags (since I had none drop in the starting area.) I wanted to be sure I wouldn't have to leave items or drop them while out doing my quests. I picked up mining and skinning to help make my early money.

I did vender some of my early leather scraps and rough stone just to get the money flow going and now I put it all in the Auction House along with most of the 'green' items I come across.

I started buying some gear in the Auction House once I hit around level 12 or so but I only buy things if they are really cheap and have decent stats for my class. I think I have spent the most on weapons since a Rogue is very weapon dependent.

Now that character is level 23 with over 40 gold.
