Enchanting and Tailoring are not the best money makers for consistent income that you can start early and grow as you level. Sure, there are people doing higher level items with both and making money. But, for someone starting out in his quest for money, I recommend doing a gathering profession (herbalism or mining), and skinning. Fishing can also be good for those who like it. Sell all the mats on the AH.

It is certainly great to be a Tailor / Enchanter, but one of your characters should be doing gathering for money. See Wondroustremor's great guide on the subject.

rateup on dadanox ^^

another profession you might try is skinning, i find after a decent amount of killing things and skinning them i can rake in a decent amount of money from skining animals, ontop of that you get exp for killing them ^^

Learn2fish. Really. You can level fishing anywhere, including the newbie zones. At 100, you can start making gold. At 225, you can start making lots of gold.

Quest. I've been running into money issues lately (even though I have 150 fishing and ~115 Alc), so I've been doing as many quests as I can to make money.

Again, as said above... you are high enough to be fishing in Feralas. Firefin Snapper, Oily Blackmouth, Stonescale Eels. Fish 'em... sell 'em. Also, not only trades are useful for making money...

Just go out there and grind mobs. Humanoids for lots of cloth. You should be getting bunches of Mageweave at your level. That'll sell nicely on the AH for 1-1.5g/stack on many servers.

Now, if you're looking for gold without putting the effort in... that'll be your downfall. You are going to have to put some time in.

That and you won't make any money if you are constantly spending it leveling your current profession(s).

absolutely correct. WHat that enchanter/tailor needs to do is sell cloth, while disenchanting cheap stuff to sell the mats. Fishing does not interfere with either profession, since it is a SECONDARY profession like first aid and cooking. There is no excuse for being poor.

at the moment i have 8 gold with 20g worth of stuff on AH
on top of that im starting to sell for enchants because the mats are starting to get expensive making anywhere between 6g-20g per enchant. after every enchant i go to AH and boot up enchantrix and buy cheap around 1-2g items that DE into things i need and repeat this.

does this sound good or does it have any flaws in it for making money.

Mageweave
---------
Tanaris from the Wastewanders and Pirates
Badlands from Ogres
Hinterlands from Trolls
Stranglethorn Vale from Trolls and Ogres

Lots of other places. Just about any humanoid in zones around that level will drop Silk and Mageweave. Level your First Aid and sell a mix of cloth and bandages. Good luck!

Using the mats to level enchanting is OK, but only after you get some real gold behind you. After Enchantrix/Auctioneer finally get fixed for 2.0, you should consider making money from disenchanting massive amounts of cheap items.

For example, /enchantrix percentless 50 will display the items that you can buy, disenchant, and sell the mats at double or more than you paid for the item. /enchantrix bidbroker 200 will display the items that you can bid on, and if you win the bid, disenchant and you'll make a minimum of 2 gold.

Unfortunately, both these features are broken on the current alpha version of Auctioneer. Norganna and crew are working their butts off to have a working version ready before Christmas.
