1) Uh, they are either going to attack you or not. I don't think an emote will prevent them from doing so.
2) There are plenty of addons for the new game version. Just check out curse-gaming or worldofwar
If you come in peace, just play on a pve server. 
I'd be more likely to stop and attack someone if they emoted.
