What server are you on?
Any class can partically answer your neeeds, except for the groups ones, I don't know what the class population and whatnot is on your server and that's why I ask that question.

I am on the Aerie Peak server and the only class heavily populated is NE hunter. Otherwise i wouldnt say there is a lot of the other ones. NE hunters are the only ones complained about.

You sound like a mage to me!

AoE is in constant demand on ym server. :/

Want kind of DPS are you looking for more specifically, ranged/casting DPS or melee DPS?
Mage is sometimes plentiful and as rigged as warlock is for some reason they always seem to be a tad short when it comes to endgame raiding, here's a link to a somewhat estimated population of what's going on with your server, maybe it'll help a little.

Hmm according to that site mage isnt overly populated. as far as the dps i guess i kinda of like casting and mainly i like to feel like im doing something to the monster and not just my raid members.

Yea it's not completely accurate but it's pretty close as it can get, just remember that whatever class you make you have to take into effect what you will be doing end game with your character, enough reagents for buff/ports, knowing what to do in certain fights, such as decursing on luci, lots of decursing all around, and of course knowing what enhances your DPS but limits your aggro as well.

I am now down to Paladin, Warrior, and Rogue. Paladin has high survivability but low damage. Warrior has decent damage but rage nerf might be bad but idk. Rogue good damage but soloing im not sure about. So any inmput will help.

Choose any class YOU like. Better still, you could grow a spine.

I picked a mage and am glad I did. In Higher Level instances there's always a need for Counterspell, Sheep (obviously in shorter supply with more and more Undead), Hard direct Damage and AoE. In 2 Consecutive Scholo runs the party leader had me initiate most of the Pulls by Sheep one and a quick Counter on the other. I felt very useful. Several AoE uses too like the viewing room (dawn's gambit) and the Plagued Hatchlings, and of course the occasional, intentional "let's pull the whole room out here" situations when someone is having fun.

That's just one example. Everytime we do runs I have plenty of key Roles. I'm hoping in raiding groups it will be similar. Of course a 40 Man raid probably spreads tasks out a lot more than a 5 man high end instance.

You'll be very happy as a mage IMO!

Yeah i like mage but the only one thing i dont like about it is the robes. They sometimes dont look very good at all but i know there are some cool ones out there but idk. That is basically the only thing holding me back from the class and its a kinda stupid thing to make you not want to play something but thats the way i am i guess. Tell me otherwise if im wrong and they can actually look really cool. I think the Tier 2 and 3 are cool looking but its just the armor getting up to that point that can really bug me.

ohh there's always cool looking and dumb looking gear for every race. I just recently had a tailor make me 'Robe of Winter Night'. That is a very cool looking robe. Now on a Scholo run I also picked up the Magister Crown which does look ridiculous but ya know what, the 30 Intellect and the Magister Set bonus makes me forget that part.

And I think the coolest looking set of armor, period, in the entire game... is Frostfire (Mage Tier 3). That is my long term goal, even after Burning Crusades introduces a Tier 4 (and possibly Tier 5) I still want Frostfire. I have a long road ahead to get myself known with a group that Runs Nax regularly to even worry about it, but aside from the Magister Crown my mage looks pretty Cool right now, IMO.

It might take a little work sometimes to find a cool looking robe or chest piece that looks good AND has good function, but I seem to have done ok keeping my mage looking 'mage-like'.

Other option is to join a guild that has a cool looking Tabbard and that covers up any silly looking armor then!

Yea you do sound like you want a mage. Only thing is they run out of mana ridiculously fast. I would say druid but to me, healing is not a fun raiding role.

preist/pally/shaman/druid

everyone of those classes are wanted in groups
decent in pvp
can spec for decent dps
if you consider healing or dps fun in raids then go for it (and yes some guilds let those classes dps)
playing style is more like this

pally/shaman really on procs/spell damage. However in the recent patch they buffed pally n shaman offensive abilities by A LOT so after level 30 or so the classes become fun and easy

druid - jack of all trades caster/dps/tank/healer....this is the only class that ive seen that can melee a t2 mage down in their normal form and all you have to do is keep yourself healed o.0

preist - 2nd most annoying thing to kill by any class.

Last i play a warrior. MY idea of fun is tanking and doing off dps when need be with my big *** 2hand from hell. They are wanted in group for tanking but it takes skills to be a good tank. They suck at pvp till the 30 - 39 but still loose to pally/shamans/preist badly and at 60 when your an epic bad *** you can 1shot any clothie dumb enough to not keep you CC.

I also play a pally. i spec him retnoob and what i find is that they are impossible to kill.2stunns + the imp dps blizzard seemed to put into the game for them its just fun to use my big 22hander and get crits or just to be bored and make it fun and kill a clothie with a mace/sheild >_<

this is just my experience with the game some other people will say warlocks / hunters cause they have pets and they are the easiest to level and generally 2 of the cheapest classes ever. what i will say is please dont make a rogue. rogues are the most overused class out there (along with warrior on some realms)

p.s. if you want to level fast make a healing class. Spec for solo and have a mix of healing/solo gear then you will not only group fast you will level fast cause you can solo as well. GL with whatever you make.......i should spell check this >_<
